Schottenheimer gets "spanked" by Spanos...
...does this mean Spanos is coming out on A.J.s side or simply telling Marty to STFU?...or both?

Chargers President Dean Spanos had enough.
Following statements made by Head Coach Marty Schottenheimer, on Saturday Spanos summoned the head coach and General Manager A.J. Smith to a meeting ... behind the wood shed. Spanos’ anger over Schottenheimer’s public comments as well as public talk about the relationship between his coach and general manager was clear, and he gave his two lieutenants an ear full.
After the meeting, Spanos put the issue to rest.
“The issues raised by Coach Marty Schottenheimer in last Sunday’s newspaper have been dealt with, and the matter is now concluded,” the president said. “I had several discussions with General Manager A.J. Smith and Coach Schottenheimer. Today I met with the G.M. and coach together. I told them in no uncertain terms that I don’t pay them to be friends. I made it absolutely clear that I pay them to do their jobs. I expect nothing less than the highest level of professionalism from both the coach and general manager. I expect both of them to pull in the same direction at all times, toward a Super Bowl for the Chargers. The three of us left the meeting in agreement and we will now move forward, together, as an organization.”

What the hell would be your point, Oh Dull One? I'm not so sure AJ wants to do as you described. Anyhow, what does that have to do with Marty making bad game decisions?ChargerMike wrote:trev wrote:That's been done already.* Thanks to Marty.BSmack wrote:

...Trev, you know Marty's the one who wants Brees and Smith wants to throw him under the bus...Right?
By the way, your little hate act with me is getting old.
Trev....pay attetion here...
Bri's POINT is...if Schottenheimer is GONE + Brees is GONE--->you've got Rivers and a New HC and a New
Offensive Coordinator.
Rivers would have to re-learn...AND, add to the FACT that he has no "real" Playing Time.
C'mon.
i feel bad for robbing Bri's Wednesday Morning Post.
maybe...
