And more importantly, let's consider Jim Nance's feelings here. He's absolutely dying to suck some dick, and if Syracuse is in the same bracket as Duke and J.J. slobber, slobber, who do you think should be ranked higher?

If Nance were calling the game tonight, there'd be no doubt whatsoever that the 'cuse should be a number 1 seed, in the East.

I'm looking forward to Westwood One's coverage of the tourney, RF. The ESPN announcers for the ACC and Big East tourneys are about to kill me. And Mike Patrick would seriously fight Jim Nance over whose dick should be sucked harder, J.J.'s or Gerry's.

I think that they're a solid 5 seed, if not a 4. 4 might be a bit high but they're playing great right now. They picked the right time of the year to start playing to their potential.

Back to the topic of this thread . . .

Props to your alma mater, Fu. And mad props for taking care of their business in the conference tourney and not costing my Domers a bid in the NIT (sucks to be rooting for the NIT, but some postseason is better than none, imho).

Now, onto reality, a #16 seed and a likely first-round matchup with either Duke, UConn or 'Nova. :D Oh well, it'll be fun while it lasts. And at least they'll avoid the play-in game, which likely will match up two teams from among Monmouth, Hampton and Southern.

Btw, I didn't even realize your alma mater was Division I until I happened across conference standings and saw them, to my surprise, atop the America East Conference. SUNY hasn't given much attention to athletics, certainly not at the Division I level anyway. And that has hurt them, imho, big-time.

word. the best radio tandem ever was Chuck Cooperstein and former Bama coach Wimp Sanderson. Wimp is hilarious. I pray to god that Oklahoma replaces Bob Barry with Cooperstein....sometime in my lifetime.

The Pitt player was in action of shooting a 3-pointer. Thus it would be 3 shots.
Pretty hard concept there champ!

Carl Krauser tried to draw a foul attempting a 3-pointer on Pitt's possession, but referee Tim Higgins did not make the call. Syracuse grabbed the loose ball, got it to Darryl Watkins, who put Syracuse ahead, 61-56.

"The foul wasn't called," Krauser said. "We had to continue to play and find a way to win."

Cooperstein is by far my favorite play-by-play announcer, esepecially during the tourney. You either have to be dead, or hate basketball not to get into it, when he's calling a game. When Bob Barry senile finally goes, it will be like night turned to day if Cooperstein starts calling OU games. Of course, there won't be players going to the clinic for "free shots" anymore when that happens. :wink:

Cooperstein does this really weird thing....where you actually understand what's going on. with BBsr, there are times you don't even know who's got the ball.

I'm hoping for a 15 seed.

I think they went Div I in 1999. I graduated in 1992 while they were still Div III. They were starting to build the new facility my last semester. Prior to that about ten people went to the games. :D
