The Hills Have Eyes

Went and saw this last night. Good film- but very, very brutal. If you are a fan of horror films- I recommend it... but just be prepared.

Well, I wouldn't go to a horror picture for the laughs!

How is it compared to the original?

Followed the premise pretty well- but the first was more corny. (On purpose I believe). They didn't feature the walkie talkie's as much... but there were some things that worked well. Its one of the few remakes that I liek more than the original.

Just saw it last night. As you might expect, the acting isn't going to win any awards, but it definitely generates a good amount of scares. It's directed by Alexandre Aja, who did High Tension, and he does another good job of conveying a constant sense of dread throughout the movie.

There are a couple horror movie cliché "duh" moments where you know exactly what's going to happen next, but for the most part, it's a pretty decent movie.

I agree completley Mike. The scene in the trailer with the two girls disturbed the living hell out of me

I just watched this the other day, and I thought it was very good. Lots of blood and guts. ha ha

But seriously htough it was well written and acted and was not corny like so many so called horror flicks.

I saw this and agree with peeps here. VERY brutal. I couldn't believe that guy had that much blood in his body. The long hair at the end (died after being handcuffed to the trailer) sorta' came out of nowhere (I didn't remember seeing him earlier). I do recommend this one to anybody who enjoys horror films.
Yadda, yadda, yadda.
