Exactly what I was thhinking. However the Cardinals would rather sign has-been Kurt Warner to a long term deal than to sign the younger McCown. That oughta tell you something. I'd rather they just give andrew Walter the job and just rebuild. Draft A.J Hawk or Ngata with the first pick and trade Jerry Porter for a late rounder. Enough of this "reload" crap. Its not working and isn't going to work.

Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the Oakland Raiders are visiting with free agent QB Josh McCown (Cardinals).
I read on oaklandtribune.com they were close to signing Toniu Fonoti and Kalimba Edwards. you'll pardon me if I don't jump for joy over these rumors.

I knew Cleveland was interested in Kalimba...didn't know about the Raiders. The Lions needed to hang onto him consider their pass rush is weak enough as it is. They didn't have many guys they had to worry about re-signing so he was definitely a high priority this offseason. They re-signed Drummond and franchised Backus...that covers their most important of their own free agents.
They add Dan Campbell yesterday to round out their tight end corps. Pollard is the receiving specialist, Fitzsimmons is the all-purpose guy and Campbell can be the blocking specialist but catch the occasional pass.
The Kitna signing is causing a stir in LionLand. A lot of fans still don't trust Harrington and since Kitna signed a long term deal...he could end up being the answer for a couple years if he performs well. I thought last year was Harrington's last chance...I'm fairly sure this upcoming season is final last chance to make it in Detroit.
No rumors out of Lions camp that I know of...didn't expect them to sign Kitna and I have no clue who they're looking at in the draft with their first round pick.
