No RB and UAD, again
Great, so Meyer is going to run his team without a running back and Bomar gets caught
drinking, again.
This should be interesting, Flordia will apparently have a 5 WR set on every down with the occasional QB sneak and Bomar will "lead" his team after downing a few beers via an unmarked cup. Maybe the trainers could make him up a special cooler with beer in gatorade cups.

Meyer IS an ass.Cicero wrote:Meyer is a pompous prick and Bomar doesnt have many strikes left.
a friend of mine works down the hall from him...well back in early sept. i asked her if she could hook me up with an autograph of his...
she got with her secretary and guess what..."Coach Meyer doesnt DO autographs during the season."
WTF?? doesnt DO autographs during the season??
anyhow...she asked if i wanted to wait till the end of the season to get one but i told her to forget about it....
she decided to "suprise" me and i got it the other day...
"Go Gators, Urban Meyer"
what a bastard.

Both of these seem like non stories. I read about the Bomar situation and it sounds like the Norman cops have a hard on for football players, similar to the SBPD which resulted in a similar incident with Rick Mirer before the 1991 season.
As for Urban, it seems like a calculated move used to motivate his players. If he does it in season, after a RB fumbles or something similar, I will agree that it is out of line.
I think Meyer is an ass, but this isn't one of the reasons.

Well thank goodness we got Killina and Trixie here, elseI might start to take my self too serious.
Hey fuckos, its a joke. Do you really think Meyer is going to run w/o a RB? No.
And on Bomar, I wouldn't call it cops looking for anyone in particular. However, if you know the QB is underage and already committed one violation what are you expected to do? Better this than him going out and getting DUI.

I know you see this as being a non-issue but color me an old guy who thinks that drinking on campus has become a huge problem. I have never been a drinker and I don't judge those that do it, but 21 means 21. And Yes I know it is probably a bigger problem at Texas than in Norman OK but at the risk of tossing rocks in a glass house I hold that one strike is too many for these kids. That includes Texas athletes.
