Saw that when it originally aired. Not a lot new there. Torture is not a reliable information source.

Sincerely,

Break you down to what? Telling information that you may not know, but that your interrogators want to hear?

Yeah, it's pretty successful at that.

The techniques have worked pretty well regarding the insurgency, given it is a disorganized bunch of fuckups.

Doesn't work that way, dumbfuck. You think we're just doing it for kicks?

We do it because it works.
It only works if the interrogatee actually knows something. If he/she does, I have no argument with you.

At ground zero, yep, given how "well" they've done against us, in combat. Another PBS special was titled "The insurgency," and pretty much showed who these idiots are, how they are being funded and how "well" they do in operations, the latter being a fucking joke.

They may be funded by Syria and Iran, but ... how is it so easy for you to dismiss that possibility, while at the same time talking up the advantages of our torture techniques?

This isn't rocket science. There are elements in the insurgency that are organized, and other elements that are not. Torture doesn't work if you have some low-level fuckstain, just as is doesn't work with trying to torture a street-peddling drug-dealer, who probably doesn't know who funded his boss, much less what his bosses' "name" is, in the States. They might get a street name, but in Arabic? Unless we've somehow managed to inbed a shitload of Arabic translators with complete knowledge in slang, good luck.

Gotta wonder if Operation Swarmer is using some of this evil gotten imfo.
Gotta hope that when it's over, there will be more dead terrorists/insurgents than there are dead local innocents.

No matter how you cut it, Bu$h Corp is morally dragging America down.

Sleep dep and stress poistions aren't torture and what possibility am I dismissing?
The "organized" part, in which the assumption is, as long as we capture a few of these fuckstains and "torture" them, we'll find out anything meaningful.

We obviously can't find any head(s) to this snake of funding in Iraq, for starters.

I don't necessarily disagree with your take about torture. All I'm saying is that it doesn't work with street thugs, and that's pretty much what the Iraq insurgency is ... a glorified gang under the amorphous banner of "death to America." :meds:

Yeah, what else is new. I have a feeling that Iraqi security forces are making a hell of a lot more headway of finding the key players.

All I'm saying is that torture doesn't work, unless you have somebody who actually knows something, and even then, it may or may not. If dude says something that the interrogator wants to hear, it's not necessarily a success.

So it took you 8 months, but you scared up an example that you'd like to offer as a success for our torture program? Nice work.

"Hostile Questioning" of folks who undoubtably know Saddam's whereabouts is peachy keen.

Making pyramids of buttnekkid dudes they round up randomly, smearing them with feces, and hooking their gonads up to live wires while they are menaced by dogs is not peachy keen.
