Are you implying Tags has been bad for the NFL and it's fans? Because if you are you are living in a different world than the rest of us.poptart wrote:Not really.
No guarantee that the next shitbag in line will be any better for pro football than little tag-a-long has been.

Tags accomplishments for the NFL need no spin or gloss. We've been all over this ground before, so I won't bother re-hashing it. Suffice to say that Tags inherited a league in utter fucking turmoil and turned it into the the most popular sports entertainment empire in history.

Good article, Paul. I hope 'tart will put on his reading glasses and put down that bitter glass of "Tag's fucked da' Raydah's" long enough to read it.
Hear, hear!Given the grind of the recent labor talks, during which Tagliabue appeared drawn and weary, he has earned a rest. And he has probably earned a place in the Hall of Fame, an honor for which he has been nominated in the past but for which Tagliabue has never been a finalist.
A close friend on the Hall of Fame selection committee told me last week that he didn't feel that any person should be enshrined in Canton until he retired. On Monday afternoon, Tagliabue left that selector, and doubtless some others as well, with no more excuses.
The NFL has a whole lot of things going for it that have NOTHING to do with Paul Fagliablow.
1. Football comes across on TV better than nearly any other sport.
2. 90% of NFL games are played on Sunday, which serves to boost ratings and fan participation.
3. Football lends itself to gambling, and works well for gamblers........more so than most other sports.
Football is a GREAT gambling sport.
4. Organized violence is interesting to Americans.
The NFL would have remained popular with Tom Arnold in charge of it, dipshits.
The parity agenda has been BRUTAL for the game, just freaking BRUTAL.
It is un-American.
It is socialist.
It sucks shit.
If giddy 'marginal' fans going ape shit over the prospects of their 8-7 shithole of a team possibly making the playoffs is your idea good, then Tags has fostered something good.
Organized criminal officiating isn't real neat either, fellas.
Tags has made a lot of green for the owners, and he has made headway in minority hiring.
Big fucking SHIT.
I want quality and I want integrity.
Where is it...?
