Harrington's contract calls for salaries of $4.45 million in each of the next two years. Once he is released, a team may work out its own deal with Harrington as an unrestricted free agent. The Lions are believed to be seeking mid- to late-round draft pick as compensation.
I don't get it... if dude is released, why would any team owe the Lions shit for signing Harrington? If anything, Detroit should owe the team who has the misfortune of paying that stiff...

The compensation would be as part of a trade deal. For some reason, Matt Millen thinks teams might actualy compete for a shot at Joey Harrington. But if they don't, the Lions will cut him.

Raiders trying to decide between Harrington, Brooks, Griese and Maddox? Talk about the lesser of 4 evils... At least Davis has a 1st round pick to spend on a new kicker this year.

No way anyone will trade for a 4.45 mil/year back-up. I don't get why the article even mentions that as a possibility.

Obviously Harringotn would have to agree to a major restructuring of his deal.
I'm guessing the writer included that bit because he has covered Al Davis. But that would be stupid even by Davis' standards.

When It concerns dealing for players or draft picks, Al is hands down better than any other fucking owner in the league. Period.
There isnt another owner in this bitch that could've swung the Randy Moss deal, or gotten draft picks and cash for a coach in the last year of his contract. Not one.
The thing Al sucks horse cocks at is drafting and, on a lesser scale, free agent pickups (Although Jordan and Burgess were outfuckingstanding grabs last year)
Before you dumbshits continue running your dicksmokers, you might want to look at actual facts first.

BSmack caught more balls off his chin last night than Moss did all of last year. Oh wait, bad example.
But.. you know what I'm saying. 60 catches for a 1000 yards is average at best. Why are you crowing about trading for Moss when dude has done jack shit for you... and appears to be on the downside of his career. Sometimes, those hammies linger for years... dude will be 30 next year. Good luck.

To be fair- Collins was throwing the ball last year. That hindered Moss' stats. Of course- Harrington, Brook, Griese or Maddox won't do any better. So- still not looking good for him. Hell- Moss might end up with his first season under 1,000 yards (counting out the season he was hurt of course) with any of those cunt rags.

Yeah... but dude was coming off of a Super Bowl MVP year where he stood there and played catch with O'Donnell. If that doesn't scream 12 million dollars, I don't know what does.

Bitch please-Moss is the best WR in the fucking NFL-It isnt even close. And Al gave up a pile of absolute shit to get him. The main player in that deal (Nap Harris) was fucking benched for poor performance halfway through the season.
Moss was fucking hurt after those 3 charger faggots dropped on him from the Carrie Collins duck that hung Moss out to dry. Even after that, dude nutted the fuck up and played hurt after missing a few games.
Yeah, Al got the fuck over. Again.
As far as drafting is concerned, Al sucks jizzing meat missile-there is no way around that-and dont think it doesnt piss Raidernation the fuck off as well.
Raydah James wrote:Bitch please-Moss is the best WR in the fucking NFL-It isnt even close.
Actually... TO is the best WR. And I wouldn't want him nor Moss on any team of mine. This isn't baseball where you can have a clubhouse cancer on your team (see also, Manny Ramirez) and still succeed. Football is now more than ever, the truest example of team sport... where you must function as a unit. It's about having 53 guys all with the same agenda. One idiot superstar can fuck up your whole team.
You want to talk about good recent WR decisions by the Raiders... Jerry fucking Rice. I thought for sure he was washed up in '01. Dude was still very productive for 3 years... and he helped show the youngings like Porter the proper way to play the game.
Moss has shown signs of maturing the last couple of years. Saying the right things. Not running over cops and shit. But... he's been hurt lately. A lot. Again bro, good luck with him. I'm still not sold on the guy.
I see Julian Peterson is now a Seahawk. The only freea gent I coveted and the Raiders make no effort whatsoever to get him. I'm getting a little tired of this failure to address real needs crap they've pulled the past 3 years.

Total bullshit.
Typical 'duh myopia, though.
Yea, that one kinda threw me. I think Tart might be funnin us. Because if anything, this year's FA crop was a deep as any in the history of the league.
