Only the second Devil to be honored.
Way to go, Kenny.
He was a force...no doubt about that.

Pierre McGuire: "The Washington Capitals are the sleeping giants of the East. Exciting times in Washington are coming."
I hate the Devils for '95 because I thought that might be the Wings only chance I'd ever see the Wings in the finals...I got over it two years later of course. Daneyko was the perfect player for those blue collar fans in Jersey. He gave a very nice speech...he didn't forget to thank anyone. Definitely deserving of his honor. Stevens had to go up there first but I couldn't imagine them not retiring the #3. RACK him!

Considering the Devils franchise's nomadic early history,
I'm disappointed that their expansion brethren the Washington Crapitals
have yet to sip from Lord Stanley's Cup.![Rolling Eyes :meds:](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)

In my estimation, every team that has ever won a Stanley Cup has had a Ken Daneyko.
Dude was a gamer, a rare commodity these days.
Rack him.
Defense wins championships.
