You don't "choke" when you play like crap. Redick couldn't get shots from outside so tried to drive. Ha! If he didn't dribble it off his foot, it got taken away from him. Williams played ok but the rest of 'em? Pffft. Worst part is they gave the game to LSU...and LSU didn't really take advantage of it. Duke would turn it over and LSU would give it right back. Late in the game was typical of Duke's effort......Baby's on the line with FOUR Duke players lined up in the lane...and Baby gets the rebound. Lovely. See you next year. Bring on the freakin NHL playoffs!!!

SO by that LOGIC...OHIO STATE is better than Duke since OSU beat LSU...and we know based on the head to head OSU is better than LSU (see reason below)

So A beats B...B beats C...so that must mean A is better than both B and C...

and save the LSU is still playing in the tourney and OSU is not and the you only beat us by two points in December...fact of the matter is how did Bendover put it..SCOREBOARD BITCH...

Carry on...

I am a Louisiana resident who pulls for its home teams. Just because I don't post on a message board on it 24/7 doesn't make that any less of a fact. Call me whatever you want, but that doesn't change the fact that your team lost.

Btw -- LSU is a really good team. They lost a tough one to us, 67-66, at the HCC Jan 7th. They're for real.

I know, sixpackben.

I've given LSU their props. And if you could read into context in the least bit, I wasn't bagging on LSU earlier in this thread. I was bagging on those who say LSU is "for real" and a "solid team" when, had that long 3 not gone in, those same people would be calling them overrated.

I think that what Coach K has done is COMPARABLE to what Coach Wooden did. He's won, consistantly, and he has 3 titles in an age where great coaches like Roy Williams barely have one and coaches like John Chaney never even got there..

Also, Wooden had a lot less NCAA to worry about, with no scholarship limits, and no freshmen playing. Now coaches have to deal with recruiting stars, and then getting them PT before they transfer... they have to deal with players leaving early for the NBA. Wooden never did.

But I will say this... Coach K was a Hell of a lot better coach 10-15 years ago than he is now. Now he just rolls the ball out there and lets his players dance around it. He USED to coach players. Now he coaches names. I think that that is his problem.

Coach Wooden will likely ALWAYS be the gold standard... but there are a few other names that can be mentioned alongside him, IMHO.

Kind of a weird argument. Whatever Wooden had to "deal" with was the same as all the other coaches of his time. I am not saying Krazoosky is not an excellent coach. I am saying that 10 championships and 88 straight is untouchable...and that final fours are nice, but not as nice as championships....

How many years before Duke wins it's 11th championship?

You are ABSOLUTELY FUCKING right. I said that a lot the past couple of years. Instead of coaching and making a game plan for the players he has, he makes every team play the same way, no matter if it is to his player's strengths or not.

Yep, nobody cheated on the level that Wooden did.

LSU was a 4, Duke was a 1. Redick gets 11 points or so.

That's a choke.

But then again, considering Redick's history as a choke artist, maybe it doesn't qualify for a choke since he managed everyone's expectations. Maybe choking for him would be like being held scoreless.

The crying at the end was great. Very Carrawellesque. Rack Coach K and his program yet again.

I guess that's why when a few years back I made my big post about K not being near the coach he once was you called me a Dook hater.

Actually I'm surprised you have an opinion on the matter, I figured you'd be neutral.

I wasnt really on the boards that much, 3 -4 years ago. Crown might have said that. Oh well, maybe I did. 3-4 years ago he had just won a ring, so criticizing the man's coaching ability didnt seem all that smart.

Typical UCLA fan, trying to ignore the Sam Gilbert era and NCAA sanctions that they were nice enough to wait to impose until after the fraud legend Wooden retired.
