IP's can easily be hidden, or altered, if one is so inclined. I prefer to look at what we do know:

Cicero, despite easily being in the top 10 of this board in terms of total posts, claims a previous nic that virtually no one on this board remembers, but denies a previous board nic that virtually everyone remembers. Meanwhile, the troll who claims the Crown nic has maybe 10% of Cicero's post total.

My conclusion: the claim that Cicero isn't Crown doesn't pass the "straight face" test, imho. In other words, I could not argue that Cicero isn't Crown and maintain a straight face at the same time. By the same token, the claim that Cicero is Crown passes the "duck" test. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, more likely than not it is a duck.

I think Killian had it right: Cicero is Crown until proven differently. And despite Cicero's numerous protestations to the contrary, that hasn't happened yet.

Crown aka Tiberious aka JeffinTampa, and I were on the same baseball team in the 2nd grade. We also lived 3 streets down from each other, and thus since our dads were friends, we become friends. Since good friends like similar things, we started liking Duke around the age of 11-12. Doesnt seem so far fetched, I dont think. Anyway, as we got older, we went on to diff HS, but stayed buddies.

I was listening to Rome by the age of 16, and Jeff knew that I listened, so he started tuning in around the age of 18. Jeff then became aware of the old Jim Rome boards. He created JeffinTampa, and although I didnt have the same passion to post, I created AdaminTampa. Jeff became a little more attached to the boards than I did and thus created the immortal CrownRoyal 25. I on the other hand, didnt post for a hile, just mainly read and chuckled from time to time. About my Junior/Senior year, I decided it was time to post again and came up w/ the nic Obi Won Trollnobi. Jeff and I were packaged up and smack rained down upon us, thus Jeff figuring he had better things to do w/ his time, stopped posting altogether. Being that under the nic Crown he had somewhat in excess of 15k posts, I dont blame him. Obi WOn on the other hand had about 2500, if I remember right.

When I heard that T1B was created I decided to come in w/ a new nic, like some people do. Jeff created Tiberious, but realized most of the guys he liked on the old boards werent around, so that is why he only has say 250 posts. I on the other hand, yet to be burned out, have maintained interest in this board.

Believe it or not, I am not Crown. TiC is just going to have to get over it. If you want to talk to him, you better get a myspace account.

My buddy Crown lived 3 blocks down the street from me and we used to play pin the baloney on the pony while our fathers were oblivious to our activities. We both loved Duke and FSU, despite the fact both are in the ACC and we were both homosexuals. Today, Crown has better things to do with his time than post, while I don't. I can't prove that troll was yours, but there was a lot of circumstantial evidence to suggest it was: e.g., it using your pet name for me, and running after just one post when I suggested it might be yours. Can I prove that it was yours? Of course not, but where there's smoke . . .
