What is everyone hearing nationaly?

I keep hearing Calipari and Tom Crean out here. Calipara, if reports are true, is basically lobbying for the job and keeps stating how much he loves both Joe Castiglione and Bob Stoops. Everbody who has dropped their name, just about, has stated how emphatically they have a man crush on Bob Stoops. I'm sure a lot of Sooners find it funny but I sure as heck don't. Kissing BS ass is now a part of the job description? I don't think whether or not Bob Stoops is friends with some should have any bearing on the hire.

I am pleasantly surprised about the interest Oklahoma has generated amongst coaches though.

it's hard to say and at Insider it's all devolved into rehashing personal disagreements from posters that have developed over the years--masked by coaching possibilities and "inside" information. I'm not really a card-carrying member of the Castiglione walks on water club...so, i think a hire like Turgeon or Lutz from UNCC are more likely than alll the names being thrown around. and Sooner fan will be disappointed leading to a whole new series of backbiting, discontent, and "thank God for Bob Stoops/we're a football school....whoot!".

though, the NCState situation may effect Lutz directly. I would have mixed feelings about a Calipari hire.

one thing i've learned at Insider is if a post ends with "book it"....you can be certain it's total bullshit.

I also think that the new basketball coach should recruit a D-lineman or two of Stoops' to show some of our b*tches how to box out on the defensive glass.
