What is your opinion on the most tolerant and loving religion? Can religion be without hypocrisy? I need answers.

God is love.

'Religion' is man-made and it misses the mark.

People will tend to let you down.

I'm a Christian, but would advise one not to look at Christians for 'goodness' 'love' or 'tolerance'.

You're liable to end up disappointed.

No, don't look at Christians, look at Christ.

So far we have a no on Christianity and not sure what tough love is trying to say.

Anyone want to make a case for any religion being the most loving and tolerant?

I agree with Tart...

As long as you are talking about a Man Organized religion- there will always be hypocrisy and intolerance. Man set up religions to suit themselves and how they could get money and power over other people.
Yeah fuckers.... I'm back

It answered this ->Can religion be without hypocrisy?

I gonna go out on a limb and say that it's not the Islamic one.

I recall seeing a bumper sticker which read, Christains are not perfect, they are just more forgiving.
I also saw one which read, Christ is Coming...And boy is he pissed off.
I'm thinking the first one was a tad more accurate.

Christ lived and died compassion and love.
A True Christain does not necessarily practice a religion. True Christains live a way of life...Those who mould their lives to reflect the way Christ lived his, can not be anything but loving and tolerant.
Am I wrong...God, I hope so.

THE BIBLE - Because all the works of all the science cannot equal the wisdom of cattle-sacrificing primitives who thought every animal species in the world lived within walking distance of Noah's house.

I believe that Christianity - as practiced by Quakers, specifically - is the most tolerant and loving religion on the globe.

Acdtually Christianity as lived in accordance to the Gospel is absolutly loving and tolerant. Love the sinner and hate the sin. Be in the world, but not of it.

The problem is if you equate tolerance with acceptance, and agape with telling those in error what they wish to hear.
