OT: Nolesy's mid life crisis.

Post by Nolesy »

I have been absent of late as my family has Taken all off my attention. We buried my Mother in law last week after a lengthy ordeal of her being in and out off the hospital.
Now that I am back I want to announce my mid -life crisis. Monday, 4/17/06 I will begin a 2 and a half week journey of hiking the Appalachian trail. I will start at the Terminus in North Geo. and hike 140 miles into N. Car. It Has been a life long dream of mine to hike the entire AT. Having a family prohibits me from taking 6 months and doing the whole thing at once so I am going to attempt to do it in sections.
I have been training as much as time allows and feel as though I better get to it before I become like Chief, to old and fat.
Would appreciate any walking Karma you could shoot my way.
Fuck the ACLU. It will always be Merry Christmas to me.

Bring plenty of liquor. God bless and safe travels. Will that suffice?

May your feet remain without blisters.
Hope the weather is good.

Rack you for realizing a dream.

430 lbs is NOT FAT.

Good to hear you are going for it Nolesy! Man you will have some fun, I can promise you one thing...you will enjoy hearing the Gobblers going crazy in the mornings. Also, though it may be a bit early, don't forget to look for shrooms!!!! That is some good eatin!

I must say, I am disappointed that you will not be shouldering a rifle during your hike. I just don't feel right unless I'm in the prescence of a firearm/bow while I'm in the woods. Never the less, have a wonderful time my friend.

Have a great time, Nolesy. I think a two week hike through the mountains would be incredible. I'm pretty envious, actually.

Best of luck. I'm definitely jealous. A shotgun, 9MM, big bottle of gentlemen's jack, fishing pole and 10 rolls of chew and I'm right there with ya.
