He usually writes SciFi/fantasy books, but also historical fiction, these are based on the matriarchs of Genesis. Oh yeah, he's a Mormon too. Good author.

I've read favorable reviews of these books.

In any event, they've got to be better written than that awful fusion of KJV and "Lord of the Rings" called the "Book of Mormon." I actually sat down several years ago and read through a copy. Thoroughly full of shit.

Those freaks started their pseudo-Christian cult about an hour from where I live. In fact, their annual "Hill Cumorah Pageant" is held near here - a festival of lights and music that puts Smith's idiotic claims onstage for all to view...

Actually all of Card's books are very enjoyable. He also wrote a historical novel of the early Mormon church (Saints) and a series based (in an alternate reality) in post-revolutionary America. As for the Mormon Church, I agree with their theology even less than I do with the Catholics. But the whole 'wall of seperation' created by the SC to prevent them from practicing their faith, was, and is an abomination.

But that's another subject....

If a book were to be judged by it's cover, it would appear that the author also partakes in honoring HIS OWN NAME.

As well it it should, he's that good an author. One of the more interesting points in his recreation of Genesis is including the theory that the Abrahamic birthright was actually the aincent writings of pre-flood times, which were required to be updated each generation (and which eventually became source for part of the Torah).

Just saying, his name appears unusually larger then that of your average author.

Don't Diss Card. His work is excellent. I have read 10 of his books, all of them worth the read.
How many have you read, TL?

PS, the author has only some control over the storefront presentation. Most likely the publisher is trying hard to capitalize on his reputation, not OSC himself.

So aside from the fact that OSC's name is the same size as the title...

Have you ever read any of his books?

I would ask if you had any to recommend, but I doubt if anyone else is interested in Uritania.

It's Urantia (Earth) and that would be their spiritual loss, not mine.
