In a sad day for Beaver enthusiasts, OSU pulled the plug on its cheerleading program, citing safety concerns. Adding insult to injury, assistant athletic director Marianne Vydra defended the decision by saying, "There is no NCAA championship [in cheerleading]. It is not a sport." Ouch.

The OSU girls are hot. At least the few who sat in front of us at the 2003 game with the, "No Bear Will Ever Lick My Beaver" shirts.
