I realize that this should probably go on the main board, but posts like these have a tendency to get clowned over there. I heard about this while watching America's Most Wanted with my wife and kids (they like it) on Saturday.

His father was in my class at ND. We lived in the same dorm and played on the same interhall football team for 3 years. Something like this is always a tragedy, but it hits home much more closely when it happens to someone you know.
