TV Shows that make your WIFE Leave the Room
Seems like a logical follow-up.
This one is easy:
UFC anything
Old MASH re-runs
Most Dangerous Catch
American Chopper
Most sporting events
MXC
--------------------------------------------------------
"PBA Bowling from 1978? Are you really gonna watch that?"

The Sopranos
Any golf tournament or Golf Channel program
Fes,
I can't belive your wife doesn't like Most Dangerous Catch. That show had my wife and I freaking mesmerized. One of the few things we watched together.

Can't speak for all, but in my case, the wife is absolutely bored by history.Uncle Fester wrote:What is it with the History Channel? When they drag out the WWII footage I'm there, and yet for my wife it's like flashing the cross at Dracula.
It doesn't even have to be war-related. I could be watching a documentary on the Presidents and she'll leave.

Her comment: "Brrrrrrrrr, that looks too cold!" She says the same thing about shows that involve Mt. Everest.I can't belive your wife doesn't like Most Dangerous Catch. That show had my wife and I freaking mesmerized. One of the few things we watched together.
If my back and knees weren't achy I'd give that crab fishing a go, although it looks like it would be hell on me banjo fingers.
Maybe because she thought it was called 'Most Dangerous Crotch' and was wondering if she was on it.BSmack wrote: I can't belive your wife doesn't like Most Dangerous Catch. That show had my wife and I freaking mesmerized. One of the few things we watched together.

Deadliest Catch is a great show. Been watching that since the initial hour long show. GUess it did so well they made it into a weekly show. Kinda sucks now that the "gold rush" aspect of it is gone......Uncle Fester wrote:Her comment: "Brrrrrrrrr, that looks too cold!" She says the same thing about shows that involve Mt. Absolute wife repellent....
“It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance.”
War footage, especially with audio, on the History Channel (other stuff on HC is fine for her).
Led Zeppelin DVD
(tried to work it ... was shot down. Another attempt when she's intoxicated/high pending, if and when it ever happens)
Iron Maiden, The Early Years DVD
(working on it, with little success, though I'm hopeful, because she digs the '89 Guns and Roses MTV concert in NYC).
Playstation (hey, it's a TV show for me).
Anything with Steven Segal or Antonio Banderas in it. I'm not a fan of much of their crap either, but if I want to be alone and one of their movies is on ... bingo.

WHAT??? That's one of me and my wife's favorite shows!! Holy shit. How can someone not like crazed Japaneese retards getting pelted in the head with cannon-fired volleyballs? :?
Guess I'm lucky then because my wife actually looks for The History Channel and The Sopranos, and sometimes now she'll even go out of her to find us a Kings game.
Better yet, I just asked her this thread's question and here were her answers:
"Nascar"
"Fear Factor"
"Survivor"
Three for three, as far as I'm concerned. (I've never actually watched an episode of "Fear Factor" or "Survivor" but she watches a fuckuva lot more tv than I do...)
We're definitely on the same page there though. Great woman.

Alabama football is the only thing I have found so far. :(

Not a T.V. show but everytime I'm channel surfing and I come across the old Eastwood movie the "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" I always have to watch it. Always goes in the other room when that's on. Think I'll get the DVD for whenever I want to get rid of her. Old lady actually likes American Chopper and Sopranos. Will occasionally watch a bit of Nascar with me. I've taken her to a few Nascar races and some IRL races.

I am the wife, and the few things I won't watch are:
Any Country music DVD (Hank Williams III, Wayne Hancock, etc.)
Any baseball or golf event. Jesus, can anything be more boring?
Anything on a religious or shopping channel.
Pretty much anything on MTV or CMT (except Dukes of Hazzard).
The Sopranos is a fantastic show. So was Oz and Six Feet Under.
Sporting events are alright, too - if they involve OU, Spurs, or Hornets. :) The hubby and I are looking forward to the World Cup this year.
History Channel is pretty damn cool. Ever see the series on The Men Who Killed Kennedy?
