BTS are heralded (by many on this board as well) as some great band, and pop music has become so removed from reality, they had the nerve to do something other than destroy these recordings. This band isn't even capable of feeling shame, otherwise they would surely be mortified that they tried to pass that shit off as music.

If the fuckers can't tune their instruments and play in time, they probably shouldn't be doing covers, much less covers that have been done many times, and every time prievious was better than theirs.

It's a tradeoff after having lived in Milwaukee, San Antonio, Lawrence and Albuquerque, all of which have upside and downside, though Lawrence has very little downside as far as living there, outside of the limited career opportunities. I haven't heard the cover. All I can tell you is I'm a big fan of "There's Nothing Wrong With Love" and "Keep It Like A Secret". Have you heard either of those? They're just a fun band to listen to. They're not made up of Steve Vais and Eric Johnsons, but, more importantly, they don't intend to replicate what those guys are doing - regardless of whether they have the ability to or not.

The general operating theories of Western Music tend to encourage entire ensembles to tune to the same pitch. And hitting notes on the actual appropriate downbeats is a nice bonus, too. It is kind of what seperates professionals from 6th grade band class.

We have a band that has been playing shows and making records for 15 years, and have done phenomenal for themselves (as far as indie acts go), DESPITE lacking the most critical ability a musician can possibly know: how to tune an instrument. I remember reading an interview with Charlie Watts after the Stones released Steel Wheels. In said interview he made mention of the fact that during the sessions for Steel Wheels, he had gotten his drum kit tuned FOR THE FIRST TIME.

It is worth noting that Steel Wheels and every album following it have sucked more ass than a Staples Center toilet seat.
