Tonight

Post by Dumbass »

I will be chugging my growler of Blonde Ale, IPA or Halo Red and also hitting the totem of enlightenment. :P

So, don't miss me too much if I am not here slapping you (OU,RF) around.

Translation: "I've given myself an out in case my team loses because I'm too much of a Pussy to post tonight if they do."

The bars will inexplicably close early and Dumbass will manage to find a way to run smack in here if his team wins later.

See you later tonight, Dumbass.

I just can't watch huge games like this in a local sports bar. I gotta be home, in my element with no distractions like Softball Guy or Likes to Fight Guy sportin a 4 pitcher stagger and sway.

It's on, RF.

Same here, bro.

And I'm just giving Dumbass shit. Should be a hell of a great game tonight. It's kinda nice to be able to watch these series as an independent observer, with no emotional stake involved.

I may just listen to the game on radio, old-school. Maybe flip back and forth on Sirius between the Suns and Laker networks. 8) Too bad Chick Hern isn't still around. Even when the Spurs-Laker rivalry was heated, I would STILL rather listen to Chick when SA played LA, than most of the absolute morons on TV. Not that Jay Howard wasn't an awesome announcer as well. He did Spurs games during the entire David Robinson era, including their first championship year, with no color commentator. Dude was killer in play-by-play ... could speak a mile a second and you could literally "see" the play by listening to him.

Dudes on the Laker network are jacked.

They went out of their way to mention the "early arriving crowd, so it must be a big game."

Actually, they did mention how the feel of the building was very similar to a few years ago, a game 6, against the 'Wolves, and they understand the importance of the game.

It's Michael Cooper and some other dude. Very cool listening to the pre-game of other teams. RACK Sirius.

And Unrack Sirius for not having the Suns network on tonight. Fuckers. For some reason, only the home NBA teams are on. Other nights, they've not only got the home and away teams' networks available, but ESPN radio and Spanish radio.

Hello? This game isn't on ESPN Radio, somewhere? WTF?

Oh yeah, I forgot ... right now ESPN Radio is too busy "breaking down" the Kentucky Derby ... er, I mean they have "NHL Live" on, where they're breaking down the NHL. Fucking brilliant. :meds:

Oh well, time to hear the Laker network, as I'm not going to turn on the TV tonight.

Suns are relying too much on the outside to go cold like they did at the end of the period. Lakers took a couple minutes to wake the f up, but they seem alert and ready now.

Stay cold Suns....stay cold.

Went out and walked my labs for like an hour ... we scared the shit out of some guy walking a small, yappy dog. Dude literally darted behind a car with his chickenshit dog upon seeing my unleashed labs.

I quickly called them to me, put them on their leashes, then we all calmly walked by.

Me to dude hiding behind a car in a driveway, his dog still on a leash, and yapping loudly at this point: "Sorry if I scared you."

Him, still:

Me:

My dogs:

Suns up on the Freak show when I left, and when I came back. Sounds like a good game though. 8)

Duane, are you in the LA area? If not, you need Sirius and Tivo, dog.

RACK this game. Already an instant classic, at halftime.

Michael Cooper, on the Lakers Radio Network: "Lamar Odom, if they don't know to go to him, they won't know where to go."

RACK Coop.

Unrack his analysis. Hopefully, Kobe isn't listening, which is a pretty sure bet.

RACK the FUCK out of this game.
