CBC announcer bias

Jim Hughson and the loser next to him have to be the most biased network announcers. They are making the Oilers to be the good guys and the Sharks to be the evil empire.

When Laraque plastered Cheechoo into the boards, the tards thought it should have only been 2 for boarding. What part of checking a player into the boards causing injury don't they understand?

There have been boarding calls that have been assessed a 2 minute minor that were worse than the hit on Cheechoo tonight.

You want to figure out why they might be a bit biased? Do you think that they might be pandering to us tax payers?

About that Laraque misconduct, I think that having Georges out of the game was better for Edmonton than SJ. He's a waste of a shift. Having said that I believe that the NHL has to create a new rule about players putting themselves in vulnerable positions. How many guys go in 2 to 3 feet from their boards with their backs out? I can't blame them, but in the pre-hit-from-behind crack-down era, your safety was your responsiblility. Now guys do it to shield the puck and to draw penalties.

Biased or not any Canadian announcer stands far and above any Yankee play caller.

I saw at least a half-dozen or more of those types of hits in every playoff game this year. The game misconduct did not hurt as much as the 5-minute major might have. If the opposing team scores on a 5-er, you're still short-handed. That sucks.
Part of the problem is guys not wanting to get hit so they keep their backs to the opposing player. No, they should not get face-plastered into the boards but man the hell up a little bit. "OH! He put his hands on the man's head!" Well, that might happen when one guy is 6'4" or so and the other guy is 6' and crouching.

Oh, I grew up in Edmonton during the 80's...I might be a little biased.
