Seems that Mandrake/Mandrive ended support for 10.1 Official on Feb. 28 2006.
No wonder I couldn't URPMI any security updates!

Oh well...backing up all my data to the slave drive...gonna do a fresh install of Mandriva One 2006 this weekend.

Its the new 'support' style that everyone is doing from MS to Open source. Kind of sucks but its life I guess. Everyone is saving money by only giving about 2 to 3 years of support after a new version of their OS comes out.
I guess technically you should be doing the updates anyway but who has the time to do it.

Yeah, try more like 18 months for desktops...3+ years for servers.
