Also........I counted FIFTY-FIVE Michgan players on their roster. Uhhhh, I'm no math major but that sounds like BULK to me. I brief look at the South Carolina roster shows a much higher percentage. I'm sure that areas with higher POPULATION will have more players from that area. Common sense. But what I am saying is that for the MOST part, teams recruit locally THEN nationally(the exception to the rule is ND but they always are).
Michigan has about 15-20 scholarship players on their roster (earned out of high school, not while at UofM) from the state of Michigan.
I just went to ESPN.com and looked at the roster listing and counted each one.
TRIX, MIchigan has a walk-on program, much like Nebraska used to have. Michigan kids who don't have scholie offers or decline them elsewhere go to Michigan, pay their way on their own the first year and hope to garner schollies later down the road while living their dream in the Maze and Blue. The majority of the Michigan kids on scholie at Michigan did not come to UofM with Scholarship offers, they earn them after spending a redshirt year on the scout teams and usually a freshman year riding the pine as a walk on.

Try going to Michigan's official site and looking there. Even on that list, the majority of Michigan born players are walk-on's.

Huh?

Maybe its more of a case down here in the as the big universities down here all have a majority of in-state talent on their rosters. Period.

PS UF OWNS fsuCKs....sorry bro, but we do.

Well, you grew up in Michigan so you should know that the majority of their talent doesn't come from in state.

Also, just looking at the Big 10 preview last night, and the bulk of Iowa's team doesn't come from the state of Iowa. PSU is close when it comes to PA, Purdue is all Indiana, and Ohio State is practically all Ohio. Didn't get further than that, my shit didn't take that long.

Again, thanks for proving the second part of my statement, regarding why its not hard to recruit in the state Florida. You have now fully agreed with me on all points of my original statement, during your "argument". Amazing.

Wait....let me get that for you...."34-7 we own you!" "FSU recruiting and football sucks!"
