Sixth Street!

There is an awesome restaurant off of Lake Travis but for the life of me the name escapes me. Other than 6th Street and "The Strip" I wouldn't venture too far around; the vagrants and Texass football players are dangerous.

Actually I had a better time at the bars on 4th and 5th, and no, not the gay bars on the south side of 4th. Sixth St is more the drunk college crowd scene. We kicked it at Cedar Street, Speakeasy, Fado, Antones (the Monte Montgomery was incredible, as usual) and a few other places I can't remember the name of...

The central and south Austin areas kick ass but the rest pretty much sucks, although we never made it out to the lake. I'm sure that very nice, from what I've heard.

I'll go back for sure. The Austin City Limits Festival would be a great weekend to do that....

You must be talking about the BBQ joint Buster's BBQ.

No I wasn't. Everyone knows Buster's. This is a little southern type like eartery right on the lake. Not as well known to outsiders as Buster's is.

Names mean nothing in that area. They change every couple of months.

My recommendation.... go to San Antonio!!

Riverwalk, 6 Flags, Mexican Food (right next to Vet Clinic).

I googled San Antonio and this was the first pic.....

Go to san Antonio (without the family!!)

(They would ruin the picture...)
I just caught this.... Baddddddddddddddddddddddd advice. My wife is from SA and I get back there more often than I do Austin. The Riverwalk is fine if you speak Spanish and enjoy the smell of green sewage. Fiesta Texas (Six Flags San Antonio) is by far the worst of any Six Flags theme park I have ever been to (I have been to SF Dallas, AstroWorld Houston, SF over Georgia). There is also no such thing as mexican food in San Antonio or much of texass for that matter it's Tex-Mex. If you want real authentic mexican grub as they cook down there your best bets are trips to Albaqurque, Oklahoma City, San Diego, or Tempe.

The women in San Antonio are pretty damn hot (I know I am married to one) but not anymore enticing to the eye than the women in Austin and besides roughly 1 out of every five girls you are going to see on 6th Street on any given weekend night are from San Marcos and San Antonio at any rate so it is the best of both worlds. The first place me and my wife ever met was at a club in Austin called "The Red Room" on 5th Street (?) but she was with a loser mexican DJ at the time that we all clowned. We didn't realize it until after we had been dating for over a year that we had met first there and not at the Club here on Okaloosa Island.

Sooner indicates the University that I attended not where I am from or where I live. I am a right coaster through and through.

Good luck with those 4th grade geography classes jtr. ;)
