Damn.

My pathetic link to fame regarding "Scrubs:" The show's theme song, "Superman," is by a band called Lazlo Bane. One of the guys in the band, Tim Bright, is an old friend of mine (AXP fraternity brother...). Another guy in the band, bass player Chris Link, is another SUNY Geneseo alum who I used to run with (though he never took an AXP bid...). Both really good guys and fun to party with.

Tim was in Lisa Loeb's original version of "Nine Stories" and is on whatever album it was that hit it big with 'Stay." He told me that he and the band pretty much played for her for close to nothing for a long-ass time, and then when "Stay" hit it huge, he was voted by the rest of the dudes as the guy to ask her for some overdue compensation. She shitcanned all the folks who dared ask for $$$, including Tim. Apparently, despite her crucnchy-ass granola public image, she's quite the bitch to deal with in person.
