Although the Syracuse Orange dropped their
semi-final game in the D-1 LAX Final 4--
central NY was well represented with three
champions at the lower levels:
LeMoyne College Dolphins D-2 Champs
SUNY Cortland Red Dragons (my old home town) D-3 Champs
Onondaga Community College Lazers (Syracuse) JUCO Champs
CNY is one of the hot beds of the sport along with Long Island
and the Baltimore/ Northern VA area. A lot of the better
athletes play LAX in high school around there as it
is their ticket for an NCAA scholarship.
OK--no links because you can't find them and
probably don't give a rat's behind.
oh--
Happy Memorial Day !!

You're kidding, right? Here's what a 10-second google search produced:
LeMoyne: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/coll ... e-lacrosse
SUNY Cortland: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/coll ... e-lacrosse
Even this far west in New York, this area is a hotbed for lacrosse. I'm thinking of trying to start up a youth lacrosse program in our hometown because my son has some lacrosse sticks and likes to play around a little in our back yard. Unfortunately, the high school has no lacrosse team yet. But they're a high school football powerhouse, and selling it as a potential spring sport for the football players might be the way to go -- not every kid on the football team can play baseball or track.CNY is one of the hot beds of the sport along with Long Island

Sarcasm doesn't always come off real well on a message board. Just sayin'.Wolfman wrote:[sarcasm]OK--no links because you can't find them[/sarcasm]
^^^^^
guess it went over your head--
(like Rome thinking that "Bill in Syracuse"
REALLY was so naive)
one problem here is that all too many
think a clickable link is a requirement
for any informational post !!
