Someone very close to me was killed by a chickenshit IED roadside bomb in Iraq last year and it's been tough since then. For those that know who it is, please don't give it up to the boards as the tards will be tards and go inkydave.
Dying old is cool as long as you don't know you're dying. It's weird, old people just go quickly as their systems are so fragile. It's a trip to watch old people die. It's a part of life and we all have the open ticket.

Seriously. I don't disagree with a word of it.

The United States would fall if we had an army based on participants who agreed with the mission of the day. Fortunately, that isn't what we have. We have a military comprised of americans who felt that they should serve their country. They know that they serve their commanders & CinC. Some may agree completely with their mission, and some may not care. I knew of someone who disagreed with the Iraq mission. But because they love their country & wish to protect their fellow Americans, they are 100% rackable.
Sometimes their service results in their death. Regardless of whether one agrees with whether the mission was righteous, the commitment & sacrifice is 100% about honor, integrity, & service. Everything else is irrelevant. Memorial Day is about honoring those who gave their lives for their country, regardless of the politics of how or where they got to the battlefield.
IOW.....STFU & show some gratitude to those gave you the freedom to be a piece of shit!
If you ran that shit in my face... I'd kick the living shit outta you so fast... the crime rate in Seattle would drop 10 fold!!!
Our kids should die because they were never educated enough to know the consciences of what was sold to them by a shit ass goverment????
I'd pound yourself upside down if I ever met you!!!!!!!!
Nobody... deserves to die because they weren't well enough educated!!!
I hope you die tonight... jerking off to child porn, motherfucker!!!

I remember taking my Grandmother around to cemeteries
where she would put flowers on the gravesites of deceased
family members. The day was always on May 30th back then
before the gubmint made it into a long weekend holiday. It
was also known as "Decoration Day"; and I'm fairly sure it
had not yet been turned into an occassion for stores to have
"sales" like it is today.
I can understand why many people today have no clue as
to its original importance and simply look at it as an opportunity
for weekend BBQ's and picnics.
Rack 88 for bringing up the subject here and setting "Junior 88"
straight on it !

Good start on the Memorial Day weeked, 88. Even if I wasn't in TTB's penalty box I'd still RACK you.
I stopped going to cop funerals a few years ago. Actually I don't like weddings either, but funerals just take too much out of me. Years ago I had a friend over for a party and then a couple of days later he takes a rifled slug in the head from a Biker while executing a search warrant. Little did I know but he was dirty and the whole sordid affair made the ending to his life just that much more sad.
Rack everyone who has served or is serving or who might serve in the future.

Props to all who gave their last full measure, and to all those who recognize their sacrifice.
I knew a man called him Sandy Kane
Few folks even knew his name
But a hero was he
Left a boy, came back a man
Still many just don't understand
About the reasons we are free
I can't forget the look in his eyes
Or the tears he cries
As he said these words to me
All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some gave all
Now Sandy Kane is no longer here
But his words are oh so clear
As they echo through out our land
For all his friends who gave us all
Who stood the ground and took the fall
To help their fellow man
Love your country and live with pride
And don't forget those who died America can't you see
All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some gave all
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall, yes recall
Some gave all
