Saving pics from the web

Post by Blitzkrieg »

Every time I right click to save a picture I'm only allowed the option of saving as a bitmap(bmp) instead of the normal jpg.

How did this happen? It's annoying as hell, especially when I need to save a photo for editing.

What is that all about? I know that image is a jpg, but my unit will only let me save as a bitmap. Also, there's no image name.

Anyone? Bueller?

Hit print screen go into your photo editing program like photoshop or whatever you use and go to file then new when a white window pops up hit ctrl+v and it will have your picture in it. then just crop the picture you want out of the screen. That's what i do when it won't let me save the picture properly. Examples....

It seems to me that when the save prompt comes up, you can simply change the extension then. At that point, the file hasn't changed any.

After you clear out your temp files and probably your cookies and history just for shits and gigles, also see if under the file type .jpg is allowed.

you can always save as .bmp and rename to .jpg if need be.
