Grimsley

Post by Bizzarofelice »

Listening to Olberman and Patrick, and they brought up a rather interesting point:

Grimsley has a boatload of money not from baseball, but from marrying money. The family that he married into has ties to pharmaceutical companies. Meaning Grimsley might not be talking to avoid tax evasion or to save face, but to keep the family corporation from getting smacked the fuck around.

Also, he played for the Phillies when that roided bunch went to the Series, the Indians when they scored 1000 runs and the Yankees when they did so well in the late 90's. He also played with three other teams so, essentially, he knows a lot of stuff about a lot of people, and he will be obliged to talk as opposed to "I'm not here to talk about the past/"

Not that shocked to hear players have been taking HGH. I believe that is what McGwire was on as well as Clemens.

I would be more shocked if he said none of the 1993 Phillies were on 'roids.

Grimsley was just cut today on his own request.. I'm guessing he knew a beat down was about to ensue at the hands of his teammates who he undoubtedly ratted out.

His career is over. I just wish he had played with Bonds to make a coaberating witness.

It'll be interesting to see how this begins to really open up the rest of the league to finger pointing and denials.

Palmiero claimed his b12 shot was tainted and alleged to be Tejada's. Tejada also happens to be from D.R... close enough to the Latin America.. Grim said Latin American players had easy access to that junk.

The question now become who ISN'T juicin?

I'm not buying the "Kruk's on roids," argument, no matter what you do to try to sell it. Beer and meat, yes. Roids, no.
