Three families face heartbreak today after a Nampa woman was slain in her home and a mother and daughter died during a horrific car crash in West Boise.
The bizarre series of events across two counties on Thursday left three people dead
Grotesquely, investigators believe one tragedy led to the other. Police accuse 51-year-old Alofa Time of decapitating his ex-wife, putting her severed head into the back of his pickup, and then driving away from the Nampa home.
The scenario grew even more disturbing. Officers said Time deliberately crashed his pickup into a car, killing a mother and her 4-year-old daughter. An 8-year-old girl was also hurt and is undergoing treatment in a Boise hospital.
At the crash scene, investigators found the head, later confirmed as that of Time's ex-wife, Theresa. The decapitated body of Theresa Time was found later in the couple's home on Lotus Ponds Court.
Time was taken into custody at the scene of the Boise crash - acting disoriented - and faces a first-degree murder charge in Canyon County in his ex-wife's death as well as two counts of second-degree murder in Ada County because of the car crash.
At the accident scene, police said Time told officers that he was involved in the death of his wife in Nampa.
Canyon County Coroner Vicki DeGeus-Morris said investigators believe that sometime overnight, Alofa Time killed Theresa and cut off her head. Her body was found in the driver's seat of a car in the garage of the couple's home, located in a West Nampa subdivision near Orchard Avenue.
"I think in my 22 years, this is the most bizarre case I've ever seen," DeGeus-Morris said.
"We won't have any idea of the chain of events until we can do the autopsy to find out whether she was killed prior to or after (the decapitation)," DeGeus-Morris said. The autopsy will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday.
Theresa Time likely had been dead for several hours by the time officers arrived Thursday morning, Lt. LeRoy Forsman of the Nampa Police Department said.
According to Canyon County court records, Time had been involved in a domestic violence incident in March involving his ex-wife. He faced a misdemeanor domestic battery charge in Nampa Magistrate Court and was set to go to trial later this summer.
Where was he going with the head?

Where was he going with the head?
Sicko. Bizarre situation. Maybe the head was still talking to him; still putting those demon thoughts in his mind. (See Defense Strategy)

I wonder if they've ruled out the car crash as the wife's cause of death yet.mvscal wrote:Yeah, maybe she was killed after she was decapitated."We won't have any idea of the chain of events until we can do the autopsy to find out whether she was killed prior to or after (the decapitation)," DeGeus-Morris said.
