My cousin just got transferred there and he and his family have to move within the next couple of weeks. They know nothing of that city. What are the good areas to live in? They are looking for houses online right now...

There's some nice golfing around the Orlando area but otherwise, if you live in LoCal, why would you ever want to go anywere else unless you have to?

Patsy,

I went to flight school there and know that area fairly well.

Tell them to look at Gulf Breeze which is between P'cola Beach and the shithole of P'cola mainland. Gulf Breeze has a very good police department and it's the most upscale area in the region.

Once you go inland, then you are around the most backwoods Rednecks. On P'cola Beach, it is a beach hangout and mostly for tourists. That place gets douched every few years by hurricanes. Nice place to visit, but it's very much like Kemah, TX onlt much smaller and it's a manmade sandbar that is exposed to the elements.

Gulf Breeze.

Cool, Gulf Breeze is the place to go and there is nothing else worthwhile within an hour's drive. Good schools, etc., and the police keep the riff raff out.

I would live in Navarre and commute. If he doesn't mind driving an hour to work both ways my community Fort Walton Beach/Destin is the nicest in the area.

In that case, Missouri would be 40% shorter than Florida, as you are expressing Missouri’s length relative to Florida. It would be correct to say that Florida is 67% longer than Missouri.

You can keep that Lower Alabama shithole. I was there about two years ago and it was pretty ugly. Destin is a long way to drive but, it's better by a long stretch than P-Cola.
