Damn them Cubs
As a die hard Cubs fan, will there ever be any relief? Even during an active offseason where they acquire decent players to fill the holes, they still stink. I'm so wounded, the scar tissue is starting to look like a tumor.

Apples and oranges. The Cubs suck. The Red Sox choke.IndyFrisco wrote:I used to say the same thing of BoSoxFan.Shoalzie wrote:I personally think CubFan gets off on the idea that they're long suffering. It's the only thing they have on everyone else. They brag about sucking.

Not exactly apples and oranges...both are painful experiences though. To compare a possible scenario for the Tigers...from dealing with 43-119 a few years ago and having this year's team either fall short of making the playoffs or blow a chance at winning series or two in the playoffs. I would much rather be in the playoffs and lose then instead of being a doormat and never having a sniff at a title. I don't know if the Tigers can do what they're doing this year in following seasons so maybe losing in the playoffs or falling short of making the playoffs this year will be heartbreaking in its own way because they might not get a second chance for a while. When you consider only 8 teams make the postseason...it's gotta be a thrill just to make the dance than to never be invited. I would've trade spots with SoxFan with their experiences. To be in the World Series and the playoffs and lose is so much better than suffering through 90-110 losses in a season.
