So, in less than a week, our newspapers inform al qaeda of our intel strategies, judges decide al qaeda terrorists deserve Judge Judy, and when the islamofascists do decide to hit again, it will all be Bush's fault...

What War on Terror, loser? Shit is made up.
Isn't that like their freaking job? Woah, sounds tough.88 wrote:I pity the federal district courts that will have to resolve these issues.
Your tardliness knows no bounds. And if your opinion is generally held by your brethren on the right, y'all have very short memories.Cicero wrote:I meant that bad news for our Country usually makes the Left happy.
We didn't really give two shits that the Prez was gettin' hummers from a skanky intern; as leader of the free world, he was doing a good job.
Actually the hummer probably got us more respect in Spain, France, Portugal and Italy, where mistresses are "expected." Hell, Italy probably still remembered it in their decision to send troops to Iraq.Y2K wrote:mmmkay.....
Yeah I guess being laughed at by the rest of the "Western World" is a step up from the "disrespect."
Actually, I always give the sleazbag credit where due- November 94 could never have happened without him.Smackie Chan wrote:During the previous administration, the "left" laughed and played and romped and frolicked while the economy thrived, gas prices were relatively low, and most of the Western world admired and respected us. We didn't really give two shits that the Prez was gettin' illegal campaign cash from the PRC; as leader of the free world, he was letting Newt do a good job. Yeah, I know, Bubba doesn't deserve credit for all the wonderfulness at the time, but frankly, we didn't care....
It wasn't Bubba who was being laughed at, it was our country's overblown (pardon the pun) reaction to what they considered a perk of the job. Now they laugh at us for being retarded enough to elect Shrubya, then re-elect him. And they laugh at him, too. Don't believe me? Take a trip to Europe, talk to those who live there, and read their newspapers. Not that I would expect your opinion to be changed; you'd simply place the blame for what they believe on their liberal media.Y2K wrote:We didn't really give two shits that the Prez was gettin' hummers from a skanky intern; as leader of the free world, he was doing a good job.

Clinton can deservedly be called many derogatory names, but idiot is certainly not one of them. Not to go all Sissyroo an' whatsuch, but Bubba actually is smarter than just about everyone who's ever posted here, no matter what the definition of is is.Comparing the exploits of one idiot to another is always amusing.

Projection. I don't know if Clinton types were beating you up in high school, but the chip on your shoulder is all in your head.Mike the Lab Rat wrote:he is one of those self-appointed "I'm smarter than you" folks who believes himself above us mere mortals.
Fixed to talk about the current administration (I took out the "academic" part). In fact I don't see where any administration is any different. He and his little circle of buds honestly were arrogant enough to think that they a) knew better than everyone else how the world should be run and b) could do whatever they wanted in order to achieve those ends.
The biggest problem with Clinton's morals, imho, is not his extramarital dalliances (God and GOD, although apparently not the Right, knows that he wasn't the first President to do that), but his willingness to shaft what should have been his natural constitutency at the drop of a hat in order to get a pat in the back and an "ATTABOY" from a group who wouldn't vote for him if their very lives depended on it.Mike the Lab Rat wrote:On the other hand, he has the morals of an alley cat and made poor decisions with regards to sex, business, etc. He was/is a shameless opportunist with disgustingly poor moral character.
I see you working here, but in this case, we've replaced him with a bunch of self-appointed "I'm better than you, and more moral than you, because I'm richer than you" types who do essentially the same thing, and piss all over the Constitution in a way Clinton never would have dreamed of doing. Pick your poison. Personally, I'll take the one who does less damage to the country, and that would be Clinton. He (and his blind followers) also sometimes doesn't quite seem to "get" why people believe him to be morally repugnant - for a lot of folks, myself included, it's not about politics and trying to "go after him." - it's that he is one of those self-appointed "I'm smarter than you" folks who believes himself above us mere mortals. He and his little circle of smarmy academic buds honestly were arrogant enough to think that they a) knew better than everyone else how the world should be run and b) could do whatever they wanted in order to achieve those ends.

A bit of projection on your own part there - I was actually one of those on the right-hand side of the academic bell curve in high school. Lots of scholarship money, awards, etc. One of the things I couldn't stomach in some of my fellow National Honor Society, accelerated-math-and-science, A-track crowd was the utter and complete arrogance they had with regards to their fellow students. They liked to insulate themselves from those they considered "beneath" them, tried to impart their particular snippets of wisdom via the school newspaper (which they controlled), and made a point of making themselves the beknighted "voice of the students" to administrators. These same kids considered my having non-Honors kids as friends as "slumming."Bizzarofelice wrote:Projection.
