Mike Lange: Out

Post by Shoalzie »

Geez, both Pat Foley and Mike Lange are out of TV gigs. The best part of subscribing to Center Ice was being able to hear their broadcasts.

Well scratch my back with a hacksaw, that completely sucks. He was damn entertaining. Bad move by Fox.

Dale Tallon, Foley's long time broadcast partner, is the Hawks' GM. Wonder if he dropped the hammer on Pat. Unlikely. Those two were gold when I lived there....and I didn't even like the team. Yeah, maybe this will jumpstart the team.......

I heard Foley was supposedly headed to radio but I guess that's not going to happen...two great hockey voices are unemployed, it's a damn shame. I say put Lange on OLN and NBC...he would be entertaining.

Fox fired him, not the Pens. Nonetheless, the Pens should've twisted the screws to keep him around.

From what I have read, Pens fans absolutely can't stand his replacement, the radio announcer for the past 10 years. Pens weren't smart when they signed their broadcast contract.

Foley WAS radio.....and 1/2 TV. Hawks road games were simulcast on radio and tv. Home games only on radio...no local tv, thanks to the dinosaur Wirtz family. WORST owners in professional sports.
