Won trip to Ulitimate Poker Classic in Aruba

Post by Eaglebauer »

I came in the top 20 (out of 2500) in the Ultimate Bet Million Dollar Freeroll today.

Good for airfaire and hotel accomodations for 8 nights in Aruba, plus $5200 buy in to the Ultimate Poker Classic.

LOL seeing as I've never played in a live tourney before.

Holy fuck.

sweet, you'll have to give us the uppity uppity on when it starts, im sure they will have a tracker on tourney, we'll look for engbauer.

dude, i dont know if you have checked out 365poker, but they have guarentee tourneys, where its 10K first prize, 20$ buyin, and only 100 people join. very few come close to actually meeting the prize pool.

I hadn't yet but I will, especially if the overlays are that sweet. Plus I need all the tourney practice I can get now before Aruba.

I'm going to see if I can get a pic of me and Phil Helmuth holding a Rack the Trolls sign.

Congrats man, good job! Keep us up to date. A good book to read, I think, is Erick Lindgren's book on tournament play.

Even if you go out early you still get a vacation in Aruba. When is it?

It's September 23 through October 1st. Poker only on four of the days max, if you last till the end. And like you said, if I do get booted early, just get that much more Aruba time. Win-win.

Fuckin Racks man!!

That is sweet. If your luck holds you could cash in the Aruba tourney. It is good to start tight, but you gotta take advantage of the good hands, even if they come up early. Getting big early makes going deep a hell of a lot easier. Always be mindful of position, this does not mean bending the Aruban maid like a pretzel.

Good Luck man.
