Come to think of it, some morons are probably going to be skiing and snowboarding this week in the blistering sun...enjoy that skin cancer. Watching people come off the mountain in hot weather is a hoot...you almost want to crack their claws open and dip them in butter.

Sure, there's times you just don't feel like scraping your car off. And the occasional 35 mph on the freeway isn't too darned convenient either. But in general, I enjoy the winter.

We have an unwritten policy around here...we don't scrape snow off our cars. We call whoever it was, wherever we were supposed to be, and tell them "it snowed...I can't make it today. See you tomorrow."
This last winter, it snowed a total of about 55 feet on the mountain to the east. It snowed approximately a half-inch at my house...a pretty big snow year for here...

I enjoy the seasonal change, too. It occurs between our two seasons -- the cool wet season, and the warm dry season.

There is that. A lot of the transplants complain about the lack of seasons. Then those same transplants will turn around and say "but I've never had to shovel rain."

It's supposed to be 78 and partly cloudy here, with a low of 66.
I guess that qualifies as "sweltering".
Actually, the high humidity (all the way up to 55 or 60 percent) does make it feel warmer than usual.

Lets see.. 85 degrees with 59% humidity. Most of the area is without power excluding my office and a few others that are currently running on a generator. Word is Peco will get off their ass and restore power by Thursday or Friday.
At least I don't have any more realtors running through my house.
