Oklahoma - Never thought much of them good or bad before the Big XII was formed, but I've enjoyed the games with them over the years (sans 77-0). Also, we have a deece group of their fans here.
t.u. - Since the '99 Bonfire, I haven't hated on them as much. Not sure if that means I "respect" them. Oh yeah, that was the last time we beat them too.
1) Notre Dame - Fan base is loyal as ever, even though they have been through a tough 26 year stretch(minus the Holtz years). I love the fight song and the tradition.
2) Michigan - Love the Unis, the stadium and they have classy fans from what I have seen.
Navy/Army/Air Force - The practice and game are the "fun" time for them. They have a little more on their mind than football, but their teams always play their hearts out and give their opponets all they have. Plus, their fans and students are always a class act.
Nebrasks - Their fans are extreemly classy, even when they took over the ND stadium in '00 they weren't obnixous a-holes. Nor were they when they gorilla raped ND in Lincoln in '01.
USC - Internet fans aside, their is always a level of respect when ND plays the Trojans, even if they play that god damned song ad nausem.

Notre Dame - Like Killian said, the real fans on both sides have a lot of respect for one another. It's a great tradition between two storied programs. I've been to ND four times now, and every time their fans have been nothing but class. Rack me for laying cable in one of their on-campus restrooms during my last trip there, btw.
Illinois - Ya, they suck horsecocks but my old man went there. I enjoy having an underdog in the rotation every year. Plus, I've been to a few tailgates there and they were epic.
Oklahoma - similar to USC, a program with great tradition and high highs/low lows. Fans that I've met are classy and know their football.
PSU/FSU - the coaches are class. Hard to not like these programs.
Ohio State - fun team to watch from the nosebleeds here in SoCal. Always full of talent, and they're never quitters.

Nebraska - I have been to a few Texas/NU games and they were great fans. In 98 when we beat them in Lincoln, they gave our team a standing ovation. That's class
Alabama - I was never a big fan of the bear, but I respected him. their fans are knowledgable and are extremely passionate about their team. Sounds like us.
Michigan - growing up our neighbors across the street were from Flint. They were huge Michigan fans. I remember them taking my parents to the Rose Bowl in 1979.
Ohio State - My dad was a trojan so I was pretty much told never to root for Woody Hayes or the buckeyes. I spent a game day in Columbus and I was impressed. I loved it there. Great tradition. Some of the fans ( on Buckeye Planet) were off thier collective rockers but them again so are most at hornfans, soonerfans, usconline, etc....
Jimmy just said that Illinois tailgate was epic?? Can definitely tell you're an SC fan. Probably never even heard of tailgating until he left Southern California.
Illinois, and I'm sure 99.999999% of all Big-10 fans will tell you, they are the shithole tailgate of the Big-10. The whole gameday atmosphere in Champaign is even more pathetic than their football team.
Dude, time to leave Southern California.......Tailgates at USC = Grabbing a beer, a surfboard and heading to the ocean. Gnarly dude!
It's great to see you and T-Bag posting again. I look forward to seeing m2ool and babs return as well, so we can enjoy our full compliment of board bitches for the 2006 season.

I would have to say, regretfully, that I respect the Canes the most out of any in college football.
They put a beating on the 'Noles in six straight games. Yes, there were wide rights and bad bounces along the way to aid the Canes, but knocking off FSU, even with JB and Rix, is a feat that few teams, if any, will ever duplicate.
FSU/PSU - same reasons as Jimmy plus the posters here for each team are class (unless our teams are playing, then you are a bunch of jerks).
Nebraska - for some reason, I have always respected the Huskers. I am definitely looking forward to the game next year and a road trip is being considered.
Maryland - solely because of my Dad, he is a big fan. Too bad the campus is located in a demilitarized zone.
Rack me for laying cable in one of their on-campus restrooms during my last trip there, btw.
I do believe I sent you a picture of said epic stall when I was there for Syracuse......do you mind posting it for all to see where the epic splashdowns took place?
In no particular order.
Oklahoma..we just love to play 'em. Nothing matched Oklahoma week in the old days of the Big 8. Both teams brought it.
Alabama..loved to hate the Bear, then found out Devaney actually liked him and he was a great coach. Still pull for them.
Iowa..don't base all Hawk fans on JON. I remember when they sucked each and every year. Ferentz is a class act and a damn good coach. I can pull for them now, but I didn't when Fry was the guy.
Texas A&M..great tradition. Would love to see a game there.
LSU..liked ol' Charlie and we never lost to them. Cool unis.
Air Force..this ones new, my youngest son is in the Air Force as of April. Plus I can root for the option again.
Thread break down = I still hate KSuckU and Poor Sport Fans U. a.k.a Colorado.
Oklahoma - I've hung out with Sooner fans in Lawrence, in Norman, in Atlanta at a Final Four, in Vegas, and a few other places. They all know their sports, know their place in history, and know other teams, very, very well. If you appreciate CF history, chances are the next Sooner fan you encounter will make for very good conversation. Contrast that with your typical SEC boob who knows his team and his rival but is totally fucking clueless about everything else, even other teams in his own conference.
Penn State- JoePa sometimes rubs me the wrong way, but in an era of look-the-other-way mercenary coaches who care about Ws and nothing else, he truly is a godsend for college athletics, and it rubs off on the entire program.
Nebraska - They have always been a class bunch in Lawrence and the two times I made the Lincoln roadie, but until last year, they always walked out with a win, so why wouldn't they be nice? In '95, outside Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, a Husker fan slipped on the ice in front of me, probably dislocating his shoulder in the process. He refused medical attention because that was the only NU game he had tickets to that year and he didn't want to miss it.
Notre Dame - All the Domer peeps i encountered last year in Ann Arbor for the UM-ND game were solid. I couldn't make the roadie when KU played there...in '98 or whatever year it was, but i heard from more than a few fans that the hosts were gracious to a fault. And face it, CF is more fun when ND is in the BCS mix.
I have to give South Carolina some love as well. Any team that can sell out every fucking home game during an 0-11 season has some seriously loyal fans.
