Can I tell you how fuckin' stupid it is to draft before training camp even fuckin' starts. I've been in a work league for 4 years now (very minimal money- more for fun and bragging rights). Well- due to it being a work leaguye- we had to figure out when to get everyone together.. and tonight was the only night b/c everyone else has vacations, etc.. the rest of the summer before opening day.
14 team league, serpentine draft...
I ended up with:
QB- Steve McNair, Phillip Rivers, Matt Leinart
RB- LT, Jamal Lewis, Dominic Rhoades, Mewelde Moore
WR- Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Matt Jones, Eric Parker
TE- Vernon Davis, Chris Cooley
K- Jason Elam, Jeff Reed
Def- Redskins
Overall, I'm pretty happy- QB's are a bit of querstion mark- took a chance that I feel Mcnair is going to bounce back nicely in B-More. Rb's are solid (I think Lewis is going to benefit from being 100% healthy- plus a real QB), WR are good... We'll see

What's the scoring system? How many starters at each position?
Just looking at it, I'd say you're set at WR, TE, K, and Def. QB and RB are dicey depending on how scoring/lineups are done, how healthy McNair is and how the position battles in Indy and Minnesota break down.

Scoring system is pretty standard.. there are some freaky small bonuses built in here and there.. but nothign earth shattering. The roster is 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, K, DEF.BSmack wrote:What's the scoring system? How many starters at each position?

I took a shot at QB with McNair. The big guns (Manning, Brady, etc..) were gone already and I think McNair has alot of weapons in B-more. If not- Rivers is on the bench for me (I think he'll take a couple weeks to work the bugs out and be doing pretty good by week 3-4). Leinart was my last pick of the draft- taken mainly as trade bait for the guy that has Warner.
With RB- Lewis was the best of what was left at that time. He is 2 season removed form 2000 yards, will be back at 100%- his weight is already doiwn from last year.. and I think McNair will bring a legitmate opresence that D's have to respect. I would not be surprised to see Lewis put up 1400-1500 yards.. not bad from my #2 RB. Not sure what I'm doing with Rhoades. I think he is the starter goign into the season- but I really wanted Addai as I think he'll be in there by week 6. I may try and deal Rhoades to the guy who picked upo Addai, package him with somebody for a Qb (maybe). Like you said Bri- position battles will be a big factor as well
Yeah fuckers.... I'm back
