bought woods 06 for the pc the other day because it was eight bucks, and i wanted a game on the laptop so i could play it on the road. problem is the game requires 32 mb and i have 16 mb. i'm probably screwed but was wondering if there is any way i can solve this problem without having to buy hardware (i.e. a new video card). don't want to spend more than $20 either.
if anyone could help, i'd appreciate it.

If your laptop actually has 16mb of video ram, you are probably out of luck. That is the bad news. The good news is that you could try looking in your computer BIOS (when your PC is booting up, hit F2 or Del to get into the bios) and you may be able to use some of your PC RAM to add memory to your video buffer. This only works on computers that do not have video ram at all, instead they use shared ram, which may not be the case for you. Your other option is to make sure your laptop has lots of RAM to make up for the shortfall of your video card. This may or may not work, but if you have a sufficiently decent processor and enough PC RAM, you may not miss the other 16mb of video ram. I should mention that ram is not really cheap but if its an older laptop, you could look for good deals from stores or ram from Ebay.
