So BtH, what is up with the link, check writing and the story you posted? The stories seem to be unrelated from a quick scan and I am just wondering who you are writing a check to?
If the cashee is yet to be decided, might I suggest Oregon's uniform fund. I have read reports regarding the high cost of respraying the uniforms with stealth paint after each game and the retractable spikes in their shoulder pads are prone to malfunctions.

If there are no other HS playing football for 500 miles who are they going to play?
Those are some big road trips and are other schools willing to make the trip up there.

Wow. Gotta say I had no idea how easy we had it, comparatively speaking, anyway.
When I was a junior, the City School District went on strike, and one of the teams on our schedule didn't have enough practices in as a result prior to the game. We made up that game against a team about a two-hour drive away -- and we thought that was going a long way.
