Pick a player
Pick a player
Assume that you can pluck any player off of any other NFL roster and put him on your team.
There will be no salary cap implications.
It is strictly a FOOTBALL move.
Who do you want to take ..... ?
In the 'training camp' thread Toos' chimed in and made mention of Oakland's question mark in the middle of the d-line.
I love the youth and speed that they've got assembled in the 'back 7' of the defense, but Toos' is right.
We need to see somebody do a job in the middle of the d-line or the unit is gonna have it's problems ..... again.
With that in mind I would thieve Tommie Harris from the Chicao Bears roster.
Young kid is a beast in the middle of the defense and he showed his worth last season.
Size, youth, energy and game.
Marcus Stroud of the Jags (for the same reasons as Tommie Harris) would be choice 1a.
Free safety Bob Sanders of Indy would be 1b.
LOVE that kid's game.
None of those names are really the kind of 'sexy' names one might expect to see if you could take ANY player in the leauge, but for Oakland's cause, they look good to me.

While I don't dislike Harris he wouldn't be my first choice to bring into Oakland.
Richard Seymour would be a real nice fit.
Plug that monster in and our whole defensive outlook changes.
The back seven looks to be improved but our lack of depth in the front is a real concern to me going into the season.

Does he have any QBs willing to lie down for him?KC Scott wrote:^^^ Yep.
Peppers is the shit.
If he stays healthy he has a good chance to eventually overtake Strahan for the sack record

This is a no brainer.
Al Wilson the guy is a monster on the field and must be accounted for on each play. Our LBs are so so and we lack a true defensive leader out on the field. dont give me any jive that Warren Sap pserves as that leader because thats simply not the case. Leaders dont come to play overweight and not giving their all. Al Wilson would improve our defense immediately.

1c.) Donnie Edwards/Gary Stills/Eric Warfield- ANY of those guys would vastly improve the Chiefs' defense just by atttitude ALONE. Each guy will flat out knock any WR the fuck out if they dare go over the middle, and most RBs that have faced them have experienced some of their most lethal hits as well.

"Speaking of Donnie, what was all that shit I was reading ang hearing about the Bolts wanting to trade or CUT him??? WTF???"
...they already lost Ben Leber, if they decide that Donnie is over the hill and cut him loose I will be hugely pissed.

Dude won't be a starter here. A backup or maybe a nickel/dime guy. Injury contingency more then anytyhing. Hell we might have Ty Law back any day now......KC Paul 3.0 wrote:No arguments here, other than TORCHfield- PatFan will find out about that guy soon enough. I'm not sure where he'd fit in the Broncos scheme, but I'm sure they could plug him in somewhere.......
Well, besides Reggie Bush.

The Bolts have some talent, the biggest questions being Rivers & the OL IMO. I'd probably go with LT Walter Jones. He's the premier LT in the game now and having Rivers blind side protected will no doubt get him and the OL as a whole up to speed faster. To me, it's about time San Diego improves their OL, but unfortunately I don't think they've done enough to date.

Given how much help the Pack need everywhere, I'm thinking they would probably be helped most by Mitch Berger.
