There is good tequila. I had some at a party in Albany that was some of the sweetest tasting hard liquor I've ever seen. Sadly, I drank a little too much of the stuff and forgot the name of the shit. I would seriously consider dropping 30-40 bucks on another bottle of that stuff. Whatever it was. ;)Jsc810 wrote:Rack. My friend's older brother(who was our party guru as kids) owns a large landscaping company, so natutrally has Mexican amployees(one of them just made it 20 years with him...hard working SOB). The two brothers who use to be the foremen/ringleaders were from Tequilla, Mexico. They'd go down for a visit on vacation, and return with two 5 gallon buckets of hooch -- one white, one gold. They said they gave $1 American per gallon, although they'd refuse to take any money for it.
That was BY FAR the best tequilla I've ever had. No comparison. Tasty and smooth.
Price was right, too.

Patron Silver for shots.
1800 Reposado for Margaritas (WAR the Cadillac).
I'll defer to others on the sippin' varieties, because I haven't done that particular line of research.
mvscal, dude, you need to hang out with a better class of drunks, muy pronto.

Do you like Balvenie? We always have a bottle of Glenfiddich on hand, it is the drink of choice in the winter in front of the fire.mvscal wrote:I don't hang out with drunks...period. Keep your Mexican piss, I'm not drinking any of it.
If it isn't scotch or brandy (or some bourbons), it isn't worth drinking.
As far as tequila goes, rack BBMarley. Don Julio silver is awesome.
We had some in Mexico, I think it was called Presidente or something, and it wasn't too bad at all.
But I don't really like tequila all that much and sour mix gives me heartburn.

You post on this board. To that extent, you do...except for the ones who are on more exotic drugs.mvscal wrote:I don't hang out with drunks...period.

The Balvenie is a distillery. This distillery makes several products. None of which have anything to do with Glenfiddich(which has no "ch" sound in its name, redneck).
So, did you have a point, or were you just trying to sound wordly and smart, when that clearly isn't the case?

ALWAYS a good rule-of-thumb.
Downed my share of Doublewood.
Then, when I was done with that, I downed a few other people's shares, as well.
In this state-controlled liquor hell, in any given price range, you're generally getting the best value-per-dollar going with the Balvenie products.

In fact, I think I'll go have a bit right now...

I didn't say that Glenfiddich and Balvenie were the same, you silly goose.
I had it not long ago and I really liked it.
and I couldn't sound worldly if I tried.
Keep in mind I referred to someone's significant other as "ole lady" in another thread.
and although LK is far from worldly, when we are at the store purchasing alcohol, we don't have to bend over to get it off the shelf.

Thread probably should've been titled:
