Posts from Homer Boards

For pure comedy value, I pass through the USC boards once a week. It's about all I can take, but I must admit I find some of these homers to be equally pathetic and funny. Post some from your boards. Here's one I enjoyed today...good troll bait.
san clemente from wild west sports wrote: From another site, it looks like Lardass seems to be a master at this [negative recruiting]. Just one more reason I can't stand this cheap classless foulmouthed bully.

Once a kid verbals, there is absolutely no reason that schools should stop recruiting a kid unless this is expressed by the kid. Pete is quite guilty of this as are any successfull college football recruiters.

What you never hear about Pete is stooping to the level of Charlie the Snot and badmouthing other schools. Apparently this is fine with ND that FATBOY sends postcards to kids telling them that the educuation they will receive at their chosen school sucks. I would think it is enough to remind kids that the french are on TV every week, but according to a couple of kids who would rather be gamecocks, lardass spends part of their recruiting trip ripping other schools. Classless.

At USC , like not mowing the lawn, this is simply not done. Pete pushes the positives of USC and invites kids to compete and become the best they can be. He has a track record of winning, bowls. rings, heismans, and his kids play on Sundays. He simply has no need to go to the dark side.

If I were a french fan I would be embarrassed by these actions of the coaching staff and the example that WE-is Fat is making. This is stuff that second and third tier schools have to do.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. If ND was indeed already back as they claim they would not have to resort to such cheap tactics. Maybe this year they will actually win a meaningfull game, and then they can act like they have been there before. I doubt it, if it works for Cheating Charlie, expect it to be repeated.

Weis is definitely no Pete Carroll. sc

Never visited a USC board, but I'm guessing it goes something like this:

SCFAN1: So what do you guys think of the big game against Notre Dame this weekend?
SCFAN2: How much is Carrol paying his players this week?
SCFAN1: More than usual, it's a big game.
SCFAN2: Well, then I'll take SC by a touchdown.

How does it feel knowing that all this success you guys had these past few years was due in large part to your coach cheating? And don't even try and spin this shit. You cheated, you got caught, the NCAA just doesn't care because you're a big-time program and they make a lot of money off your team. You know it, I know it, and anyone with half a brain knows it. Must be nice having the ability to get away with anything. I'm just glad the team I root for can have success without buying players. Unfortunately, you cannot say the same for your team.

^^And they're off.

Gotta give the kid credit for getting out of the gates with this blast.

Opening salvo shows M2, Babs, and Trix that nothing short of they're A-game will do this season.

Realist from texags.com wrote:As much as I want us to start off 9-0 heading into the OU game, I've been too disappointed too often the past few years.

The defense makes me nervous and the offense will not be enough to carry us through some games. I think we will begin to see these problems when we barely squeak by Army.

I think we'll lose:
-Tech
-Kansas
-OU
-Nebraska
-Texas

I hope I'm proven wrong.

Homer from texags.com wrote:We will beat Tech, Kansas, Nebraska and Texas and possibly OU.

It's very possible we could run the table and be 9-0 heading into the Oklahoma game. Finishing the season with OU, NU then t.u. will be tough. We won't lose to Kansas, but we'll probably lose to those other 4.

Oh, and there's another thread that is titled "Post here if Texas A&M beats the Citadel by 20-39 points". You know your program is in trouble when you not only start scheduling games against 1-AA teams, but when you eek by them and your fans discuss them on message boards, it is pathetic.

San Clemente is a fucking loon. Every post he has is a shot at ND.

I honestly don't go to many of the ND boards. I frequent NDNation, and that's typically just a bitch fest of what other boards are saying about ND, and what recent article didn't say ND was a world beater.

I belong to Irish Eyes, but I never go to their free board.

I'll see if I can dig something up.

I am regular on Warchant, mainly for recruiting updates and interviews w/ the players. A lot of the fans know the team and college football, but some are like this guy:

fear_the_spear1 wrote:Heres my top 25 and reasons why I think they should be there..

1. Florida State - my favorite school.. I'm alumni of there.. They have the best qb since chris weinke, two running backs that can score on any given play. Greg Carr and C. C. Davis at receiver can flat out catch the ball. Only problem I see is the OC and our schedule is a little tough.

I love my Noles but no way in hell are we the number 1 team in the country. Our only tough OOC game is Florida and our schedule this year is the weakest I've seen in 10 years.

C'mon man, this is like the alcoholic uncle everyone has but no one admits to. If you think Iowa doesn't do it, then you're fooling yourself. Every team in the NCAA cheats to some extent.

Based on Iowa's record last year, they probably cheat less than most.

I just got through watching yall's Spring game on FSN and Snead reminds me of Applewhite although I believe he is more athletic. What's the QB situation right now and has Snead made up any ground on McCoy as far as starting?

All the sports prognosticators keep going back to last season and LUCKY wins. None will or have said that our team (though we have had some key players leave) will have another yr. of learning under their belts and that we do have replacements for those who have left (except Marcedes & Moe Drew). And we have improved our coaching staff. We apparently will again be the surprise team of the conference to the writers, but not to us who closely follow BRUIN FOOTBALL. Yes we have a difficult schedule with only one possible easy win and that being Rice....HOWEVER...they will be an unkown...new system and coaching staff. My picks for wins...: Utah, Rice, Washington, Stanford, Arizona, Oregon, Wash. St., Oregon St., USC. Coin flip...ND. Losses Arizona St. and Cal.
The really good part about my picks is I have not seen any of the teams practice, its way too early for this sort of thing....so I might just as well say.....................WE WILL GO UNDEFEATED ! !
Has anyone seen Seer lately?

that is hilarious.

as a voyeur it's been even a bit sad to see texags even allow cynicism at all. implying the Ags *might* lose a game would get you called a potbanger inna day.

Gotta reset this. What a fucking tard.
some myopic trojan tard from wearesc.com wrote:I went to irish eyes to read their response on JW heading our way. I made the mistake of reading a post from a Trojan 1st regarding last yrs game and the grass height. I can't believe how we threw our own under the bus( I wont mention screen names). Hparas obviously bleeds cardnal and gold to a fault, (like me), but to read fellow Trojans slam him/her on a rival board was disturbing. Hparas, IMHO you need to stay on OUR board because sometimes your C&G thoughts just don't mesh w/ their site and could make you seem foolish. HOWEVER, I can't understand why we would bash our own on a rival's site. Just say nothing and let the post die. Trojans, DON'T DOWNPLAY DESMOND'S INJURY. The Trojan may NEVER play again and he was special. I hate irish FANS. The majority of them have no respect for USC or our family, and to defend their thoughts makes me want to puke. Example of classless nd FANS. I live in Georgia and proudly display the USC flag year round for others to admire. I have some jackass nd fan screaming profanity at me even when my 3 yr old daughter is outside every time he drives by. Quite frankly the "Trojans" that slammed Hparas, well I just don't have the urge to read your thought or opinions anymore. I'll stick to reading NOCORE, HAWAII, and the administators instead. You guys are everything I was raised as a Trojan to ignore. To think you guys were defending posters that had PC's head attached to a Song Girl. Sad.
