I was in Vegas... but I did notice that the New York New York Hotel was built w/o a WTC even though it opened in 1997 at a time when the WTC dominated the skyline.

What did MGM Grand Inc. and Primadonna Resorts know and when did they know it?

Supposedly the model for "New York New York" wasn't the 1990's Era New York skyline but rather the New York skyline as it appeared in its 1940s "Sinatra" glory era...
