Well, I think the NFC West will be the worst division this season, with the NFC North not much better.
Let's get that out of the way first.
The AFC West won't match it's 37 win total this year.
The NFC South has potential to once again rack up a lot of wins.
The AFC North has some potential to end up on top again, but top-to-bottom, I don't see a better division than the NFC East.
What do you think .... ?
Not to be a homer, but I agree with your take Pop. When you look at the NFC East, you instantly see three playoff teams in the Gnats, Foreskins and Boys. Not to leave you out Marley, but the Eagles could make a case as well if a receiver establishes himself and that defense dominates. There will be no doormats in this division and every division win will be a tough battle.
I don't know if this division will produce the most regular season wins because of the tough matchups in the division, but if you look at the big picture, I don't see a division as deep as the NFC East.

Nails. My take exactly. The NFC Beast is back after taking a short hiatus. Historicaly this has been one of the toughest divisions and is rounding back into form. I, for one, am stoked...
I'm going with DF & HH on this... I think it is definitely the NFC East, A legitimaite case can be made for each team in the division to go to the bowl.
And I love the fact that the East is back to being a tough division.. problem is that we are going to beat up on each other so much during the year- we have to hope we are healthy come Playoff time
If the Cowpuds get their O-line together and TO pans out at all, they could challenge the Giants' hold on the balance of power in the NFC East. They would be the closest to a complete team. Should either team stumble even a little bit, the iggles will be right there to overtake them in the division race. The rumors of the Green Gromites demise are vastly exaggerated.
The 'Skins? Everyone in this forum knows the QB situation here. Nothing but a big ole question mark at best. I'm not one of those overly cautious handwringers on the subject. I'd love to throw down with some myopic bombast. But who can argue with the problem here: IF Brunell stays reasonably intact all year, will he even have anything left in the tank? He's not only fragile, he's physically diminished and it showed at the end of last season. There's no way one could flat out expect the guy to duplicate last year. And there is less than nothing behind him on the depth chart. Should #8 go down our best shot would be to put Randle-El under center.
The 'Skins will probably be the squad that other teams beat but for the winner, it will have been a quality win. That, and they'll be good enough to play spoiler for teams on the playoff bubble later on in the year.

Damn velo, this just in. Your team went to the playoffs last season. You act like their a 6-10 squad. Grow a sac and get back to us with a real take.
Velo's take is pretty much right on. If Brunell doesn't repeat last years performance I don't see the Skins making the playoffs.
Agree that the NFC East is one of the toughest divisions but it doesn't really have any great teams. It isn't nearly as good as it was in the mid 80's to mid 90's when that division had several every season on a rotating basis that pretty much dominated the league.
Now it's not just a division, but a league of the mediocre that is on a rotating basis.
Eli "whiner" Manning? Mark "Duct Tape" Brunell? Drew Bloodhole?
FART........
If Carolina can find a RB or two that can last the season, and no longer have Jake throwing 50 passes a game, I think they're the team to beat in the NFC.
