They sound like a cross between the more annoying elements of Modest Mouse and the Talking Heads.

They're playing here on Tuesday but I only found out about the show the other day, so I'll likely miss it. Hopefully not though, since they are great live.

Sounds good to me.

BTW - Give their album a spin, bro. Then pass judgement.

Yeah. Both solid bands, which is why I felt the need to qualify it with "the more annoying elements of." That one song you linked to just wasn't really doing it for me at all. IMO, if you have two guys playing keyboards in your band, you have one too many guys in your band. Plus, it just sounded like the song was building up to some sort of crescendo that just never happened. Call it the "10,000 Days syndrome."

I'm willing to listen further though. Are they on myspace?

my prize for the "new band" trying way too hard to sound like and be as clever as earlyish Talking Heads goes to Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.
""On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid the fear and despair of a broken human race, who is left to fight for all that is good and pure and gets you smashed for under a fiver? Yes, it's the surprising adventures of me, Sir Digby Chicken-Caesar!"

I admit, I don't know if I'd have the same admiration for that clip, or others, had I not listened to the album many times already, and had I not seen them twice already to know how insanely energetic they are - which is really infectious. They bring the place down (gotta see them in a small venue though...not a festival). They aren't the tightest band I've ever seen...just one of the best.

I've taken a total of four people to see them who knew nothing of Wolf Parade prior to, and all agreed it was one of the best shows they've ever seen.
