Can we get a dork forum for all the geeks that never played football and want to talk "Dungeons and Dragons???/ Fantasy football???

It'd be cool if this was a Football Forum and not a place for Star Trek geeks.

Thanks for you consideration...

What? You didn't like my team? Not enough 9ers players on it for you?

bro, you play in the pick em games. You pick other teams to win, do you not?

Just one step above that is where you pick players...judge not unless ye be judged and remove that plank from thine eye...and all that happy horseshit

Tell you what, Emmer.

Start a thread asking for posters who never play FFL to check in. If your numbers equate to a decisive majority of this forum, then I'll create an FFL forum.

If not, then you agree to let it be.

Deal?

I'm guessing you're pissed off after drafting all those Kal-bred QBs and watching your teams turn to ruin.

so....m2?

what you're saying is that you're stuck in the 7th slot Drafting in a 12 man league....and there's no chance for trading 'chimes or hippie girls to move UP in your Draft....and you're tired of reading this SHIT about those who have BETTER Draft Status than you.....

no???

its pretty simple then.....if a Post Title has FFL in it....do not bother to READ it.

i don't!

why should you?

I couldn't care less if a bunch of pube'stache-sportin' yerk-offs play their squirrely little derby, but they sure as hell ought not be catered to.
Fantasy Fruitball is an abomination.
It is an afront to the fundamental concept that m2 expressed.
That being ........ football is football.
Duh.

The media's continued growing insistance on covering the NFL from the pencil-neck's perspective is a VERY large step forward in the ultimate demise of the league.
It is a perversion of the sport on SO many levels.

Ooooh, Chad Johnson took that one 64 yds for a TD and that'll rack up major fantasy points!!!

Well whooooptie fuckin' DO, homo. Image

There's a team fuckin' FOOTBALL game going on, and nobody in their right mind gives a shit if dweeb in Deluth scored big brownie points with his nerd-0 friends when Chad Johnson got loose.

Faggoty Football is all about the ME.

m2,

I'm starting to "get you" and the shit you pull on these boards.

I just gotta ask though...do you post threads like this to troll?

Seriously, THESE are the kind of threads that make people go "Hmm, wtf is wrong with this guy?"

I know you've spent years being the bullseye of most people's dartboards around here, but doesn't this shit get old for you?

Not really...

I think poptart and I have made it clear.

It's fairly clear on how we view football...

Hmmmmm.......

m2 brings up a salient point about the recent traffic here ....

KC Paul is ran for a couple of weeks before he 'sesses about T-Rex's bet welching ......

And the traffic has slowed considerably , after a couple of weeks into the pre-season ...

Hell , do the Board Bitches have that much cred here that they actually bring the meat into this sandwhich ?

I agree with Pops (god, I can't believe I'm going to type this...) and M2. FF is just plain gay. That being said, deal with the threads. Last thing this board needs is another fucking forum. Every year, the preseason yeilds the "How 'bout my fucking team" threads, or the inevitable "what would you do if you were playing my bunch of fags" threads. But they taper off as the season progresses. Deal with them. Legitimate football takes are on coming soon...

BTW... Cowboys will fucking own you tools...

Fantasy football is a dorky activity. I don't care how you spin it, but no woman was ever turned on by a man who plays fantasy football. Not one. In all of the Earth's history, even. Picking games is far less dorky because it takes less time invested to make the picks. But to win at fantasy football you need to follow all the bye weeks, injuries, stats (which mean shit in the real world, wins and losses do).

Women aren't turned on by drinking beer and farting either. That's why WE DON'T DO THAT SHIT IN FRONT OF THEM.

At least until we're married.

Not so fast WMN. Mrs DFan was extremely turned on a couple years ago when Papa brought home 800 dollars as a winner. Your theory is shot.

To those of you opposed to FF:

You are, believe it or not, eminently prepared to jump into a league at any time. You who have voiced disdain for this sort of gaming are by inclination and passion for the sport possesed of the most important ingredient necessary to play FF: knowledge of players and teams.

All the other things that go into it, while important, mean nothing without a thorough NFL knowledge.

So while your critcism has a certain validity, let me frame it for you like this: FF is just a fun, competitive way to employ the knowledge and interest you already have. There are millions of people who like the NFL, but few who know it to the degree of those who are confident enough to go on a message board to even smack about it.
For the average casual NFL fan, FF would mean an appreciable amount of extra work. To folks like poptart or HH or m2, any "extra" would be minimal and enjoyable to the extent that it would impact one's life in negligible fashion.

6 years of on-point NFL takes from the likes of you says otherwise.

I'm just sayin' to pops and others... they've already got the hardest, most involved part covered. Since that is the case by their own volition anyway, why not put it to further use? I guess it might differ league to league, but my minimal experience showed to me that there's not a lot of work involved once the season gets underway.

One benefit I neglected to mention: if your actual rooting interest loses during any given week, it is nice when your FF team wins. When both win, that kinda kicks ass. Of course both could lose, which is why I suspect people sign up for more than one league.

And addressing a criticism I saw from pops a while ago: guess what, poptart? The last and only time I was in a league, my starting qb was Donovan MAC-NABB. Yeah he was my starter during a year when he was kicking much ass with T.O. on the way to the SB.

A conflict? It's hard to explain. Pick-bot got him for me, so when I saw that result I was kinda like "fuuuuuuukkkk!". But then, the rationalizing was not too difficult. Like him or not, root for him or against him, he's gonna do what he's gonna do. That, and to me, he wasn't Donovan, he was #5. In conceiving it so is where the whole fantasy concept shows itself useful. You see it in off-hand remarks from folks all the time.

I'm even going to go as far as saying: give it a try. Once. You'll see, it's nothing so geeky or fukked up as all that.

So the fuck what?

Women aren't turned on by jerkoffs who spout off on the internet, either. So what's your excuse for being here then if that's such a priority in your life?

As for me, I've been married for nigh on 23 years. I'm not consumed with chasing tail.

To 'tart, HH, mtool, and any other hater:

FF just enhances my enjoyment of the game. Simply put, it's FUN. Why do you killjoys hate having fun? Just because it ain't your bag, don't try bringing the rest of us down.
