I'll be flying cross country in a few weeks - what are the carry on restrictions for laptops cel phones etc? I'd rather not have to deal with a major hassle telling the,m " Yes its just a laptop battery, no
i'm not a pasty arab"
I plan on leaving behind my shoe bombs and gel filled bras. Momma didn't raise no dummy. ;)
hey frequent flyers

Will,
No problems with electronics.
Forget about carry on toothpaste, mouthwash, hair gel (sup' RJ?) etc. - Check it or just buy new stuff wherever your going

Flew to Sacramento last week. Electronics are fine as long as you take your laptop or video camera out of their cases and put them in one of those plastic bins when you go through the security checkpoint.
You'll notice lots of extra space in the overhead bins due to the new carry on rules. You also notice that it takes a little bit longer to get your luggage out of baggage claim due to the increase in checked bags.
