Same. It's the final day of four-day weekend for me. Bring on September and football and football and football. High school football on Friday nights, college on Saturdays and the Pros on Sunday. Enjoy this time people.

When I was a kid Labor Day meant the end of summer and the start of school the following week.
It was a sad holiday. Today, for most students school has been in session for almost two weeks.

Used to love it when I was a kid--one of the "perks" of living in Syracuse was that schools started one week later than the rest of the state as the NY State Fair was
going on then !!
Nowadays they moved the dates and the Fair ends on Labor Day.
Kids have been in school here for a bit, but they get out in mid-May.

Just had a 33 minute power nap. Three mile run. Washed two cars. Three loads of laundry. Got owned by my kid in 007.

Barbequing salmon later. Beer is a must. Kick back with a book tonight. Back to work tomorrow.

Life is good.

Barbecued salmon...? That don't even sound right. Are you gonna' whip up a nice little quiche while your at it...maybe some sushi as an appetizer?

Got A LOT of sun, drank A LOT of beer, ate A LOT of grilled good. All three days.

UNfuckingWAR the end of Summer coming soon. Below 80 degrees is the total suck for me. I like being burnt.

I went to my cousin's wedding. Normally I feel such an event is a waste of a long weekend, but it was lots of fun. Had plenty to drink, reminisced with family I hardly get to see, and got some great ideas for my own "big day".

A+ weekend.

I had to work this morning, but caught this game on the radio.

Props to the Tigers for beating up on the Mariners... I think it is there 13th straight road loss.

And the Tigers in a pennant race ??? What the fuck is that ????

Does good go better with T-bones or a 33 minute power nap?
