Gridiron Gang(movie)

Post by Adelpiero »

The uplifting story of detention camp probation officer Sean Porter, who creates a high-school-level football team from a ragtag group of dangerous teenage inmates as a means to teach them self-respect and social responsibility

So they based this movie on the 1995 Nebraska Huskers, and added a touch of hollywood.

its based on Camp Kilpatrick, a juevenile detention center in Southern California that started playing football in the late 80's or early 90's as a way to try and rehabilitate the gang bangers that were sentenced to there

You sound like a little bitchy, broken-record Adel. You can't get through a thread without sniping at the skers over some crap that went on ten years ago. Are you that mouthy student that got KTFO back in 03? I think you must be the way you keep going with this at every possible opportunity.

Mizzou had a nice game Saturday with Daniels having a record-setting day. Why don't you talk about that rather than playing the "thugskers" card for the millionth time?
You gonna bark all day little doggie or are you gonna bite?

they played murray state, i had them 4-0(cream puff schedule) to start season, so why tout beating a bad cream puff team, i'll be ready when big12 games come.

if they pound ole miss, then this team can be taken seriously, untill then, why boast about a cream puff game?

i'm shocked by the who gives a shit from people in texas about daniel. he was player of year in hs football, and was a great player at SLC. I always follow some of the top local talent from stl area. Like Prince from ND, who weiss is salivating about, with his speed.

Murray State? somebody needs to kick that AD in the fleshy sack between his legs that used to house testicles.
The NCAA needs to step in and start making schedules for these schools that schedule these all home games vs patsies OOC slates

I went to high school with the guy who was the coach. They got it wrong though. The school started playing 8 man fotball before and the program had another guy as the head coach before Sean Porter. The dude, Porter was a hard ass PO when I worked at that camp and he's climbed the corporate ladder and become a director of a camp who now believes they should all be hugged and loved.
It's a nice story as is what they try and do at each probation camp, however they do nothing for these kids once they leave the facility and most turn back to gang life, get re-arrested, never report to their PO, get killed, go to the penetentiary etc...recividism is around 85% right now.
